NLP 3rd April

Has anybody read the NLP from Sunday 3rd April? There is a letter from a Mr Gillard of Northamptonshire which contains a couple of questions that I believe should be answered.....Does anybody at the club wish to respond or are you happy for me to write or shall we leave it especially, as the FA meeting is this week?

I did read the letter,it would be very interesting to hear what Her majesty would have to say if we sold the ground to pay off the debts ,he didn't do much reasearch into that part did he

Not knowing what the letter said it is hard to comment. Obviously answering any questions about the running of the club has to come from an official outlet.

In essence and acknowledgement to the 'The Non_League' Paper' who printed the letter note the following extracts:

"While fans of Windsor are no doubt happy, I am sure that those owed money by W&E are less so. "

The letter goes on to say:

"Surely Stag Meadow should be sold to the highest bidder so that all those owed money can be paid up? Even though Windsor FC are officially a new team and business and registered as such", Mr Gillard believes "that they should not be able to operate under any name especially Windsor until all debts have been sorted."

There is more in the letter but I am governed by 'space and time' so will leave it to the club to respond if they so choose.

I, personally, can feel the pain and frustration other non league teams must feel at seeing a club win a cup, win a league and then not have to pay for it and fold and start again debt free at only a slightly lower level.

Until the FA do something at all levels to control this financial farce and force clubs to operate within their means they really only have themselves to blame. Look at Portsmouth, we are talking millions there and the FA does nothing to really punish them. ( a few points deduction, whoopededoo!!)

The FA showed how weak they are with the Rooney situation, a 2 game ban, wow that showed him, and Man Utd!!!!! Elbows off the ball, diving, swearing and intimidating officials and just cheating in general. These are grown ups in a really priveleged position getting stupid amounts of money and we are supposed to accept they are under great pressure and their actions are acceptable, give me a break!!

The FA need to grow a pair and take this game by the scruff of the neck and shake it until it sorts itself out, it is embarrassing watching some games, my seven year old daughter shows more maturity than some of these "Role Models"

I agree, what Windsor did was wrong. Just because others have done it doesn't make it right. We are very lucky that we didn't own the ground and have used the laws around liquidity to our benefit, still doesn't make it right just because it is within the law, morally it is wrong.

But it will happen time and time again, and more often in the near future I would imagine, unless something is done soon.

Haven't read the article myself, probably won't either, but I wonder if we will be disliked when we reform...?
