Knaphill 6-4 Frimley Green

Baker x2

Cardona x2

Hodgsen

Lumley

An interesting game for the neutral!! We went 1 up, 2-1 down, 4-2 up, 4-4, 6-4 final score. Seems we get a too complacent when we go two goals up like we did against CB Hounslow a couple of weeks ago and nearly blew it. Still, a win is a win and looking forward to Eversley on Tuesday night!

Egham Tn: 2 v Colliers Wood Utd: 3

Egham got a shot on target after 30 seconds, Matt Grave teeing up Anthony Oaks for a drive that Daniel Burnett held, then it went all shape of pear. Two utterly rank pieces of defending, or not, in the 15th and 16th minutes let Daniel Hammond and Mario Embalo in for a lead that was reduced when an Oaks free kick was headed in by John Pomroy (20). We have an exciting youngster called Brendan Matthew who worked hard to create space for himself and his team mates, and on 23 minutes was denied a goal after a fine solo run when his cross shot was pushed onto the post. Alas, after 38 minutes we were 1-3 down when Embalo's cross shot seemed, at least from the other end of the ground, to go through Justin Gray, our keeper.

In the second half the game was drifting along with sod all happening, other than Tom Martin heading goalwards and being denied by a reflex save after 57 minutes, until Grave gave way to Reon Thomas, who livened up the front line. One minute into second half injury time a cross by Arafat "Yasser" Kabuye was headed in by Martin. Embalo was sent off for a crude challenge on Chris Robinson five minutes from time. He wanted to argue his case with the referee after the match but cooler heads prevailed, happily. The first two goals highlighted what most needs fixing - our defending was absolutely shocking. No complaints (Smudge, this is for you) about CW doing the double over us, because both times they played better than we did and both times we were leaden footed and inept at the back. Credit to the Egham players for a more determined performance in the last third of the match, which meant we deserved to win the second period but by the time we had scored our second there was only a chance of grabbing an equaliser if Wood adopted our first half defensive policy. That is four losses on the bounce. The problem with changing horses midstream is that you can get swept away by the current.

Eversley 3 Feltham 2

A patched up an delpleted Feltham side lost out to Eversley in a goals galore second half. Not much created in a goaless first half although we had two glorious chances but didn't take them. Eversley were two up inside eight second half minutes, we then pulled one back thanks to their very suspect keeper, before they scored in the dying minues and we added a second in stoppage time, again thanks to the keeper.

Gutted I didn't get to really play, went off after seven minutes with a strained hamstring following a fulyl stretched, unchallenged header :flame:

On another note, a lot of points to so many for the scoreline in the 'predict a score'

Sports were poor first half today we got a goal on a plate in first 5 mins after a mix up between gk an cb thus said thought sp gk was very good all game!! Sp then took the game to us an deservedly scored through a well workd goal which was nodded hm by lavery? Halftime 1-1

Sports got a good kick up the [****!!****] at halftime an this seemed to work we starting playing better although very even with not many chances for either team then manager gav bamford struck a sweet right foot shot across goal from edge of box to float past the sp keeper into oppo corner if im honest it had to be somthing special to beat there keeper!! The third was a peno after a tired tackle in the box to which ad turner despatched!! Molly good luck for rest of season !! Apologies for sandwiches being a quarter eaten after we thought ud all gone an ill get you a pint after the final!!

First of all apologies for no report on the Boars last week...it wasn`t because we lost...I was away on the piste!

Hard fought game which was fairly even in the first half with Sked hitting the post in the first minute from us as we started the better. Feltham slowly got themselves in to the game.... after Wattsy went off!!;) ...and should have taken the lead on the half hour as their tall gangly striker blazed over from 6 yards out. With a slight tail wind the visitors just edged the first half. With defenders gaining the advantage who could have predicted the goal feast to come?

Eversley came out in the second half with much more purpose and pretty much dominated the 3rd quarter. Matt Stamp, playing in an unfamiliar wide midfield birth first ghosted past two players to cross for Craig Smith to put Eversley ahead at the far post and then repetaed the feat but this time finished himself from an acute angle. 2-0 and coasting with Ian Savage hitting the post for the second time moments later from a quickly taken free kick. The game should have been over with Eversley repelling well the obvious Feltham onslaught. Then a goal that from a free kick that our keeper knows was meet and drink....a bobbly free kick from a wide area from Feltham`s Daniel Green...think Clemence and Dagleish 1977 and you get the picture!! ..2-1 with 15 to go.

Feltham piled on the prsessure and I have to say seem to be made of far stronger stuff than the last time we played them, more pace, energy and strength throughout their side (the tallest side I have seen this sesaon!). A couple of great saves by Hurrell, made amends and it was only a fierce strike off the bar from the returning Steve Taylor, calmly finished by a cushioned Simon Wright header that put the game beyond doubt at 3-1. ...Well i say beyond doubt until the demons struck our keeper again to flap at a cross in the dying seconds which left Hakim Mecl with an empty net to head home in the dying seconds , making it 3-2 at the final whistle. Have to agree with Wattsy and say our keeper had a bad day at the office...funny old game as Hurrell only 3 weeks earlier had kept warlinghm at bay almost single handed! Ogov should be back on Tuesday at Kanphill and we will need him as we take on an in form Knaphill still struggling with some of our key players out.

Whilst we try and muscle as best we can for the remainder of the season I have to give praise and credit to our Feltham openents...I was told they had won 3 on the bouce until today and I can see why.... I will be amazed if they finish in the relegation places as they looked an above mid table side on todays showing.

Cracking and 110% on the nail report mate! I was gutted with my injury and feel for the gaffer. We had six starters out today injured and also a just turned 16 year old keeper making his first senior start, but credit to the lads filling in, they played fantastic. Especially out little left back who played in centre midfield! The two giant black lads who came on also made impressive first apperances!

Well played to Eversley, only down side was our club officials getting now warm greeting or refreshments before, during and after the game. Other than that well played and good luck for the rest of the season

Just out of interest, who are you 'inmyday'?

Dont worry thought it was funny you lot tucking into the sandwiches, we got a much needed talking to after the game. Thought after the [****!!****] up after that gifted you the early lead we edged the first half just through the shear amount of corners!! Second half you simply wanted it more and derserved to win. Good Luck and we'll have a beer in May.

Thought it was an entertaining 2nd half. Hope the injury isn't too bad. I agree with inmyday that this is a decent Feltham side, who I expect to continue to climb the table.

Just out of interest, did your club officials introduce themselves? I recognised your manager, but I don't remember seeing him in the bar after. I might be wrong though.

Also how come so few players came in for refreshments after the game? The match officials commented that they saw most players driving off, when they were walking over to our clubhouse.
