What can we say on here?

Recommended Posts

Can we have a free and open debate on this forum anymore, can we give honest and open opinions about the LEAGUE,REFS,CLUBS,F.A's.Can we complain about anything,or should we just post everything is rosy in the garden, when we all know it is not.Take a poor performance by a Ref,when do Clubs ever mark below 60,my guess never, reason the FEE they have to pay to the League for a hearing. Why do Clubs never dispute a sending off, reason the FEE they have to pay to the County F.A.for a hearing. When will I Smudge,a true supporter of C.C.L. Football see a C.C.L. Rep at a game,1 in 2 yrs is very poor,so what do Clubs pay a MEMBERSHIP Fee for, because if Committee Members do not go to games, how will they know what is going on in their League, and it will never improve.I personally think that this site, has become too successful, due to it's open and honest debate, which is no bad thing. But I do get the feeling that the ability to speak your mind is dangerous for some posters, which is a shame.I will finish on this point, which I have raised numerous times but have never had an answer,to WHITELAW What representation have the C.C.L. made to the RYMAN League and the F.A.regarding the one year Groundshare between C.C.L.CLUBS AND RYMAN CLUBS that was stated last year, this affects several C.C.L. Clubs, and your League,or will it be left to Clubs to FUND any cost,to seek a solution.

Smudge, the Ryman rules clearly state Ground Share with other Clubs is acceptable - but not for promotion. They surely would have to change these rules to refuse their Clubs to continue hosting others. Not sure how CCL can influence other Leagues rules.

Also interesting to note the Ryman require Club Headquarters / Ground to be in England or Wales. Would rule out Guernsey FC for future inclusion in the Ryman

I never knew this rule Smudgey, but we should go with it I guess. Maybe this should be 'Pinned' or put somewhere clear for players, management to see??

A STATEMENT ON THE USE OF SOCIAL NETWORKING WEBSITES

(issued by the Football Association)

The FA has issued clarification to participants relating to the use of social networking sites, including, but not limited to Twitter, Facebook and internet blogs.

Participants can be defined as anyone actively involved in football as a player, manager, coach, referee or working within the game as an administrator or official of a club, league or other body.

Participants should be aware that comments made on such sites may be considered public comment, and that further to FA Rule E3, any comments which are deemed improper, bring the game into disrepute, or are threatening, abusive, indecent or insulting may lead to disciplinary action.

Comments which are personal in nature or could be construed as offensive, use foul language or contain direct or indirect threats aimed at other participants are likely to be considered improper.

Participants are required to act in the best interests of the game at all times and should be aware of this when using social networking websites. Furthermore, participants are reminded that postings on social networking sites which they believe to be visible to a limited number of selected people may still end up in the public domain and consequently, care should be exercised with regards to the contents of such postings.

In addition, we would remind participants that social networking postings could also lead to civil proceedings being brought by affected parties.

Explains a lot of things to me now that have baffled me over the last couple of months,2 of our regular posters Yossa Hughes and Padlock lost their jobs after a spat on here, when they were doing reasonable jobs at their Clubs, pressures from the League/F.A. may of been the reason. The Y.H.W. case pulled for similar reasons is my belief. So free honest speech is banned in this democracy, back to the dark old days.Where your teacher abused you, your Local Clergy abused you, everyone knew it was going on,but you dare say nothing,as it was disrespectful to say so,and brought them into disrepute. So now we have 1 Referee, there is always one bad apple in any barrel, who can go round, using his position of Authority to abuse people(Players)whenever he feels like it,and if anyone complains about his behaviour anywhere, they are bringing the game into Disrepute. The sad thing is that we all know that like the Police if you make a complaint about their behaviour, you are never believed, this is the case with League's,F.A.s who adjudicate themselves at hearings.A SAD DAY FOR HONESTY,AND FREE SPEECH.WE MIGHT AS WELL PACK OUR BAGS AND LEAVE NOW,AND TO THINK I HAVE PAID £5 FOR THE PRIVILEGE TO SEE NICE HONEST PEOPLE VICTIMIZED.You do note however that Supporters are not included in F.A. Rule? a message to Clubs grow a backbone, put your hand in your pocket, mark below 60,then the said individual will finally be found out,if you do not he will be back at a Club near you.so pay up or shut up.

Smudge as with any other public written statement yuo have to adhere to the Laws of the Land. Perhaps you need to remember that the officers of this league do this voluntarily so give up a lot of their own time in adminstrating the league.

And when someone applies what you believe in against you dont get so humpy about it and get all defensive.

Kroons should I get more offensive then, maybe the Officers should spend less time administrating, and more time watching in their own time.

IN FAIRNESS TO WHITELAW, WHO WE ALL HAVE ADMITTED DOES A FANTASTIC JOB, TAKES UP ALOT OF HIS TIME AND REMEMBER, HE IS AN OFFICER AT ASHFORD TOWN SO I PRESUME THAT FOR MIDWEEK AND WEEKEND GAMES HE HAS A RESPOSIBILTY TO BE WITH THE TEAM/CLUB WHEREVER THEY ARE PLAYING, SO THAT IS PROBABLY WHY HE UIS RARELY SEEN AT GAMES BUT I MUST ASSUME, HE PUTS HIS CCL CAP ON FOR FINALS.

Yes Agreed WHITELAW has done an excellent job in difficult circumstances, but there are many others in my opinion who could do more. There are 5 alone who deal with Referees.

Made my point Smudge. You are allowed to criticise everyone and everything but when I put a different view to you then you chuck your toys out of the pram. Going to give it then make sure you can take it.

That's a standard FA rule for all pyramid leagues so even the Kent League has the rule that clubs must be in England or Wales. I doubt they'll get many Welsh clubs trying to get in.

There's an easy way around it - the FA reword that rule for next season.

While they're at it they can add a rule that goalnets must be used for league games. (If I keep mentioning it everywhere someone will pick up on it and put it in)!

Smudge FYI can I categorically state that I did not lose my job at Horley Town FC. I left by my choice only, on grounds of which I am happy to share via PM.

Kroons your views are appreciated and taken in by me.but at least I have a view.If a player continues to have a mare he is dropped. If a REF has several mares because no Club has the Guts to mark him below 60,because they know that the Hearing is Not Independent, and £100 pound is money thrown down the drain by them. The poorest Officials will never be demoted.Your view is blinkered from a Refs side of the coin.

So this thread was in fact another chance to batter referees. 3 assaulted in 5 weeks that we know of. Because people lay the blame at refs door when in fact they should be looking at their own shortcomings.

Watched a game today and the referee gave a throw in to one side on the half way line. The home bench went so mad you would have thought World War 3 had broken out. It was a throw in for goodness sake in a pretty meaningless league match (although I am sure the 2 clubs would disagree)

The fault does not lay at the referee who may well be out of his or her depth but in the system and current attitudes. If you got rid of the so called weaker officials Smudge do you think you have Premiership standard guys waiting to take their place ?

Kroons,so the problem lies in the system and current attitudes.Would you like to explain further?

As for the Assault,no true Footie Fan condones these actions on Officials.,and hopes the perpertrator will never will be able to play again.

Smudge, where do you get the idea that Clubs have to pay the League £100 for marking the Ref less than 60. As far as I know they fill in a form, but have to add constructive "development" comments. Where does the £100 fit in??

Was at Farleigh v Sheerwater today, for 60 minutes, missed the first 30.At half time I congratulated the Ref on what I had seen,2nd Half he gave Farleigh a Penalty rightly which was missed. Then 10 minutes later dismissed any Appeals by Sheerwater for a blatant Penalty when he had a good view of the incident.HE IN MY OPINION WAS WRONG,he then proceeded to book anyone who disagreed with his decision vociferously. He lost the plot.Yes Players/Managers do not help themselves by their remarks agreed. But he started the rot,and changed the game.
