Come on Guildford Fans does the social club belong to you?

 

Afraid not.

 

There's no football ground at the Surrey Sports Park for us to move to.

I would love for us to take over one of the old Varsity pitches and develop around that but we can't build on someone else's land without their permission!

 

Medic - I believe you asked and GS previously answered that the Social Club doesn't belong to them

 

Sorry GF must be getting old, memory isn't as good as it once was.

I imagine theres a lot of people there who have worked very hard over the years ( all for free ) behind the scenes. Some clubs are very lucky with the help received from their councils - Guildford are clearly not one of those

 

AGAIN ANOTHER MISINTERPRETATION NLN. READ CAREFULLY, I'M NOT DIGGING OUT GUILDFORD AT ALL. I HAVE ONLY BEEN TO GUILDFORD ONCE AND ASKED A SIMPLE QUESTION IF THE PORTACABIN WAS THEIR CLUBHOUSE OR DO THE PLAYERS, MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE FOR INSTANCE GO TO A ROOM IN THE SPORTS CENTRE ADJACENT TO THE GROUND/PITCH ? WHAT THE HELL'S WRONG WITH THAT, GET OFF YOUR HIGH HORSE NLN..........

 

I get you now,you're juat out to slate a lot of clubs in the CCL,what's your problem are you a failed manager who got the sack and you feel bitter and twisted, or are you someone who thinks our league is not good enough for you,if you are a real man come out from behind this silly Nice Guy name and put your credentials on the the table,its ok telling us you've played at a certain level but how can we check if we don' know who you are, I for one think you are a foney and your just trying to be one of the lads.and if I only had to put the stuff out for the warm up it wouldn't worry me one bit so long as i am involved with a club I dont care what I do to help stop trying to belittle people who genuinely help someone has to do it are you saying you wouldn't ?

Bringing this topic back to its original subject, does anyone know when Guildford's appeal is being held?

 

If they are appealing I have it on very good authority that NO-ONE has EVER won an appeal for ground grading.

 

If it just a question of confirmation from the original visit, then I am surprised it has taken so long to come out with an answer!

I've just read that the FA were due to release the list of clubs who'd passed the grading yesterday.

Due to various appeals they're delaying it until Tuesday 26th April.

I expect clubs who are involved in the appeals, whether it's the clubs themselves or other clubs in their leagues appealing against them have been told by the FA to keep schtum until then. Either that or they're deliberately staying quiet so as not to prejudice any hearings which is a wise move.
