NICEGUY-Chertsey Town already have a ground grading pass and did not need another inspection this year

 

 

THANKS CHERTSEYTOWN JUST HEARD THAT DUE TO INSUFFICIENT TURNSTILES WAS THE P[ROBLEM ?

 

This brings up another point regarding the strictness of ground grading. When we applied two or three years ago you needed three turnstiles for step 4. We only had two so had to build another one despite the graders knowing that the FA were reducing the requirement to two turnstiles in the next re-write just a few months later. The third one has never been used (the second rarely gets used!) but at least it's there should the need ever arise.

No official announcement yet from Guildford. Have they been given the green light or not? I'm not naive enough to believe what a journalist writes, even if the one who wrote the piece above usually has his finger on the pulse of Surrey football!

 

Spelthorne Sports can now only finish first or second in the Surrey Elite which I presume is a promotion place so have they done enough work on their ground to satisfy the league?

Spelthorne Sports have a clubhouse and a decent looking pitch, from what I can see when I drive down the Staines Road West. One thing about Sports' ground is that it has to be one of the easiest to find, provided you don't drive past the entrance and have to drive on to the next lights and turn right and all that sort of thing cos it's on a dual carriageway. I have only been there twice, once for cricket and once to see them put out their reserves against our first team in a pre-season match we won 8-1.They could be another Lammas as they will be a decent team with no lights.

We have operated a clubroom at the Spectrum for quite a few years. There is also a toilet in the ground that has disabled access.

WITH RESPECT GS, I HAVE ONLY VISITED THE SPECTRUM ONCE THIS SEASON WHEN BEING KNOCKED OUT OF THE FA VASE BY LEISTON. I HAVE TO ASK IS THE PORTACABIN THE CLUBHOUSE ? DO YOU HAVE BOARDROOM FACILITIES FOR THE AWAY OFFICALS ?

I get you now,you're juat out to slate a lot of clubs in the CCL,what's your problem are you a failed manager who got the sack and you feel bitter and twisted, or are you someone who thinks our league is not good enough for you,if you are a real man come out from behind this silly Nice Guy name and put your credentials on the the table,its ok telling us you've played at a certain level but how can we check if we don' know who you are, I for one think you are a foney and your just trying to be one of the lads.and if I only had to put the stuff out for the warm up it wouldn't worry me one bit so long as i am involved with a club I dont care what I do to help stop trying to belittle people who genuinely help someone has to do it are you saying you wouldn't ?

I'm not knocking your club GS but why do you still have the old clubhouse in Josephs Road. Does this belong to the current club or is it part of the orginal club? If it does belong to the present club would it not be better to sell it and use the money to improve the facilities at the Spectrum?

Afraid not.

 

There's no football ground at the Surrey Sports Park for us to move to.

I would love for us to take over one of the old Varsity pitches and develop around that but we can't build on someone else's land without their permission!

 

Medic - I believe you asked and GS previously answered that the Social Club doesn't belong to them
