Big day has arrived! Our final game was actually won 9-0 YHW ;) Smudge you don't know who it was against, how can you say 'hardly a test?!' - we could have just been 'that good!' Haha, anyway, money as always going to a great cause, highlight of my day personally would be to see JJ down there!

Peacocks won 2-1 Smudge. 2-0 at half time, cruising really, AFC tried to have a go second half, nothing really created, had a free header last minute from a free kick. Goals for the Peacocks were Joe Stevens (formerly Cobham) and Alex Lumley (Knaphill). I'm sure diggity will give you the exact figure but had about 100 people turn up to watch and so would imagine we raised a fair bit for the charity, so well done and thank you to everyone who came.

Woking Peacocks 2-1 AFC Woking

Scorers: Joey Stevens, Alex Lumley

Peacocks made a flying start to the game creating chances early on and having most of the ball. Michael Leech was terrorising the AFC left back early on and beat his man every time. 'Cocks first clear cut opportunity fell to Rob Wilson who shot just wide. AFC decided to double up on Leech and as he picked the ball up on 25mins he beat both taking both men out the game before picking out and unmarked Joey Stevens to fire the ball home. 1-0 Peacocks. Peacocks continued to push and Shane Rideout was played through on goal and was bundled over in the box. Penalty Woking Peacocks. Rob Wilson stepped up but his kick was turned away. Still just 1-0. This gave AFC a lift and Mo Kanote was sent through on goal but Lee Gamble made a last gasp challenge to stop him getting his shot away.

'Cocks had a few near misses from set pieces with Wilson and Rousell going close. 'Cocks then took charge and went further in front when Alex Lumley brilliantly bent in a freekick from 20yards. 2-0 and AFC were begining to look depleted and barely had a shot on goal all first half, a testimont to the back 4 and I didn't have a goal kick all first half. Only had to deal with crosses and mopping up balls over the top.

H/T Woking Peacocks 2-0 AFC Woking

Second half we knew AFC would come out and take the game to us but Peacocks were thoroughly for the first 20mins of the second half taking the sting out of the game. Gaps were begining the appear all over the pitch and Leech was still terrorising his man and the AFC keeper denied him on 3 occasions. Rideout was highly influencial throughout the game and set the tempo and ran the game from the middle of the park spraying passes all round the pitch. AFC began to push in the last 10mins and created their first clear cut chance which was blazed well over. Miles and Gamble were soaking up all the pressure though and I still didn't have a save to make. With 2 mins to go AFC set up a nervy finish where a freekick was whipped to the back post and Maher was unmarked to head in. With nerves frayed the final whistle went to spark wild celebrations in the dressing room as Woking Peacocks lifted the Shooting Star Chase Charity trophy for the 3rd time

Woking Peacocks: Whitby, Rousell, Miles, Gamble, Lumley, O'Connor, Wilson, Rideout, Leech (Hicks) , Stevens (Hegarty) , Yardley (Anderson)

AFC Woking: Jamie Donaghy, Jack Watkins. Danny Allen. Adam Maher. Stephen Blake. Dean Harris Matthew Bolt . Dean Haywood-Brown . Joel Parish Mo Kanoute Chris Blake

Great event attended by over 100 people with lots of money raised for charity.

Whitby great match report, cheers for doing that.

Thanks to everyone that came down and supported this great cause, shame a few people on here said they would turn up and never did!

Alot of money raised, will be finding out the exact figure later today hopefully. My lads were immense on the day didnt give AFC a sniff untill the 91st min, Cant remember Whitby having to do much.

MOM - Shane rideout but could of been a number of them, the teams performance was that good there's talk of setting up our own team on saturdays as we feel we could play in the CCL div 1 comfortably (but this is easier said then done)

Looking for more games if anybody wants to take us on pre season, out of season we will be ready. (never had strongest team out against fans forum so would love to play that again).

So yet again thanks to my players, the opposition, the supporters, shooting star chase and a massive shout out and thanks to knaphill fc who let us use there facilities for free and even put food on afterwards.

A very proud Gaffer x

Would be great if we could set up or own team but we couldn't ever play at the level we would like to without a ground!

So if there's a team in the CCL that need 16 best mates then give us a shout!
