Gazette Report on the Bury Match

Recommended Posts

Hope this thread doesn't turn out to be as long as the last one !!!!!

BUT has anyone read David Arnold's report in this week's Gazette?

Amazingly, he makes no reference to the major talking point of the game, namely the performance of the officials. Yes, he mentions "bad blood" , but did not explain what gave rise to it.

And by the way, he confirms their goalie did not carry the ball across the line, so I presume he was taking his notes by the corner flag !!!!!

The game has gone and we're out of a play off place (again). Time to move on and concerntrate on getting back into the play off's and getting behind the team.

This is an interesting piece of news...

Yes, glad to see that you and "Proper Blues" have also moved on, although it was entertaining whilst it lasted.

Interesting news item but finding a decent striker is easier said than done, as we have found out this season. To be fair we have done very well to be in contention at this time of the season and could still end up with one more trophy than the Gunners !!!!

Well as soon as my good friend from Upminster got involved, I began to lose interest. He is obviously lonely and not happy with his Urchin "mates" and is looking for friends...bless 'im.

It was good to have a "banter" whilst it lasted (I have been reviewing some "old" battles we used to have with the C****y and Lodgers...Ryan C is a legend of the dry witisim). It's a shame that these little "battles" have died out...so it was refreshing to have (in)Proper Blues fight his corner...even Barry T got involved (which made my missus laugh)!!!

I agree, getting a striker is easier said than done and perhaps there is one out there that will want to play for us...a club on the cusp of the play off's and getting stronger for this season as well as for future seasons...perhaps we can find one that has a need to be ambitious on the field of play and not just in his wallet.

We have done very well, considering I took this season to one of re building the squad for a push for promotion next season (No lack of ambition from me...just being cautious). So, for myself, I'm enjoying the season very much...

As regards Dave Arnold's match report, I didn't think it represented the game very well. But, The Gazette has served us well this season by putting us back on the back page where we belong, along with original interviews with Craig Edwards. Hopefully we've signed a centre-forward, but I think the deadline has been and gone at 5PM so it looks as tho we may have missed out.
