If we don't make the play-offs?

Surely on what is supposed to be a unofficial football forum,we are allowed to voice an opinion regardless of wether it is controversial or not. Anybody would think I was shouting from the roof tops to sack Bateman! If you had read my three posts on here properly,you would have seen that I too,am advocating Steve Bateman getting another year to try and get us promoted,if we fail in the play-offs or making the play-offs.

However,what's wrong with making observations about the way our team functions.

 

3spirit, the point we are trying to make here is not that you shouldn't have this discussion (about the manager's ability - I have made similar points at less-criticial stages of the season), it's just that the only possible affect that having this discussion NOW can be is to do harm to team and fanbase unity and morale; much like the discussion the other day about whether or not to shut the forum down. Just plain silly.

 

I am not saying we should not have this discussion. I'm just saying we shouldn't have it NOW. Leave it until the end of the season at the very earliest (assuming of course than we don't get promoted).

By the way, my comments about postponing any discussion were aimed purely at the comments regarding if Bateman is the right man to lead us forward, and about whom he should be repalced with. Constructive critiscism about our team should always be welcomed.

 

Getting back to the play-off race, I see that Leighton are playing at Daventry tonight and at Biggleswade on Thursday: could make a huge difference as to whether we make the play-offs or not!
