Noticed Alex hadn't played for Faversham recently so just did a bit of digging around and it turns out he's back in the Kent County League with Malgo where he played last season. Presumably released by us then ?

Shame if its true...really liked him, when he scored those 2 goals v thamesmead I think was it??? I thought he was going to be great up top of welford but then we sent him on loan and now looks like he is gone!!!

The bit about him being back with Malgo is definitely true - he scored a hat-trick for them yesterday.

would be good to know if he is still registered as a margate player.

 

like many-in the little i saw of him-he did seem to have a natural ability as a goalscorer-seemed to take up the right positions.

 

However, there is no rule that a player must progress-he may be happy and content at Malgo level because it suits him and his family-so good luck to him.

 

similarly-i would just have loved to see him play 90 minutes off welfords shoulder-i'm sure it would have worked.

 

is it the case that IOC did not give him enough attention/love?

(a bit like trott allegedly saying with reference to yiga-i have'nt got time to help him.).

 

unfortunaltely-in an age of instant success requirements-maybe that is sadly true,albeit the players need to have the mental strength and determination to help themselves-and many don't want to push themselves the extra mile-and again-if they have full time jobs-who can blame them anyway
