Fight for the play-offs

Looking at the games to come I think we can narrow it down to Slough, Rugby and Aylesbury fighting it out for the final play-off place.

I think we can rule out Leighton who have an horrendous week coming up playing Daventry, Biggleswade and Hitchin followed very shortly by Slough, Daventry and Rugby.

On paper Aylesbury have the easiest run-in with the Daventry being the only top team that they have to play.

Looking at our record against the top teams I think we have, by far, the hardest run in.

I think the deciding factor will come down to us picking up points against Daventry, Arlesey, Leighton and Biggleswade especially the Tuesday night games at Arlesey and Daventry.

Yes Leighton have a tough week coming-up but should they have a successful week this week they are in with a great chance of making the play-off's. With strikers in their team like Drew Roberts you can't discount them. I think Rugby have it all to do, five games left and four of them really tough games - fair play if they make it with their remaining fixtures. Think Biggleswade have by far the easiest run-in, and would be suprised if they don't make it. Aylesbury are defintely a danger. That said at this stage of the season you get some funny results as teams down the bottom struggling bring in better players a la SYCOB,.

Big week in the Championship race as well and if Daventry can win all three games this week you would probably say they were in pole position for the title.

Hotting up niceley, is it not? Goes to show how important that 1-0 win over you at Butlin Rd was. Fully agree that we need to win Saturday to maintain our push towards the play offs. I believe there is one place left to play and thats between you and ourselves with you having the advantage with games in hand to play...

Thanks Mr Rebel,

Quite important then to finish as high as possible then.

I know in the football league, more often than not Ironically the 6th place team normally ends up gaining promotion. Lets hope for a good April then.

Yeah, well if you look at our league it is rare that 2nd go up.

Hitchin Totton and windsor all come to mind in failing

With that in mind, 5th Place looks promisiing then, a home tie would be nice but i suppose looking at the current table anywhere in the top 5 you would have to settle for and then go from there.

Looking at attendances i am pretty sure plenty of Slough Fans would travel to the playoff games wherever they were being played. Including new followers like me.
