Dorking 1-3 Cove

Well considering Cove have nothing to play for, they were very good today! Chicks were disappointing, especially up front where hardly anything was created. Can't recall Loizou even having a chance. McGarry opened the scoring getting a fortunate touch to a Duff free kick. Jeffers made it 2-0 before half time. Chicks pulled one back in the second half through Hyett, but they never looked likely to get anything and the win was sealed for Cove thanks to a Duff effort near the end.

I should imagine johnno will be benched next game, after all you wouldn't change a winning team would you? ;)

Edit - I'm useless at this, HT was 0-1 and Jeffers scored in the second half. I was there honest!!

Hayes gate 1-3 Bedfont sports

Half descent performance from sports in 3rd gear we created probably 10 chances in first 20 scoring through lee tunnel an adam turner though hayes pulled a goal back against the run of play realistically should of been 5 up !

Nduka azagba scored midway through 2nd half to make it a bit more comfortable for sports!!

Hayes if im honest have a few descent players but there was only gona be one winner today back to winning ways after a bit of a stutter next up south park !!

Hanworth win one nil at Egham. Penalty around 65 mins.

Our new boss has some work to do. We had two signings from Dorking Wandererers, James Frayne and Reon Thomas, the latter looking quite useful and producing one of our two decent shots on target in the first half. Anthony Oaks hit the second ahd then fell over his feet with a chance late in the first half. Villa missed chance after chance. Louis Shennan raced clear in the first half but shot wide under pressure from Paul Bartholomew. In the first 30 seconds of the second half Levi King hammered a shot that Justin Gray parried to Shennan who then missed an open goal. Bartholomew headed off the line on 56 minutes. Two minutes later a silly challenge by our skipper Tom Bentley conceded a penalty that King rolled home - Gray made no attempt to save it, which is not the first time we have seen this strange behaviour. Gray then clawed Shennan's lob to safety and King had an air shot. Finally Shaun Preddie made a complete hash of a chance he made with a run down the middle; after seemingly rounding Gray he saw his shot hacked off the line by the keeper. All we had was a swinger from John Pomroy, well wide, and a Tom Martin header over from a rare corner. We battled pretty well and at times looked a darn site better than the dreck of the first half at Guildford City, but still lacked punch and looked dodgy at the back. Smudge will probably find something to disagree with!!!
