pearcey and egham town

Recommended Posts

this may be a bite, but i've seen my name mentioned in the same sentance as stabbing steve baker in the back on this site,i did not stab steve baker or roy butler in the back!i played at egham under steve and roy and was part of a side that finnished the higher than any other egham side in the combined counties league and enjoyed every minute of it,bar the moment when i cost us the game at home to chertsey. after my injury i had been to watch egham play on several occasions if ashford were away,on each occasion i was asked by players, fans and board members if i would be coming back.at the bookham game i was chatting to roy and he asked about my plans to which i replied "i'd like to come back if the club would take me back,if you and steve want me to",i also gave steve several numbers of players he might like to sign,he signed yassa!!! are these the actions of a man about to the dirty on a friend? i have spoke to steve and given him my version of events and he has wished me the best,i would happily play for him in a team he or roy are involved in and he has told me to keep in touch,i don't burn my bridges, i'm honest and do my best wherever i play and we all know what goes around comes around, football is incestuous and you never know when your paths will cross again.

i was contacted on wednesday morning and offered the oppotunity to be part of a management team with john hamsher, who i know from him being an apprentice at fulham when i was at barnet.we played against each other and know the same people.so to turn down this oppotunity would be foolish, actually stupid! if i am told i can't play again i don't want to walk away from football and have another oppotunity goalkeeper coaching at another club,.

so those of you who listen to rumours or enjoy spreading them come and see me and i'll repeat to your face what i've said here! there are 2 chairmen that i have played for in the last few years where i would love to manage thier club and i'm at 1 of them now.

Fair play pearcey. I haven't personally read anything or heard anyone say anything about you backstabbing anyone. Good to see you back mate. UP THE EGHAM !
