To change Saturday's Fixtures to 1pm.just seen that there is an European Qualifier between Wales and England kicking off at 3.pm.Do the F.A. live in the real world, they will decimate the Non League game as we know it.The C.C.L. should of seen this coming, and changed all fixtures,Clubs need revenue to survive and here was an ideal opportunity to help out.Game finishes 2.45pm,people would stay to watch International in the Clubhouses, spending more money as the game is FREE on terrestrial T.V.PLEASE WAKE UP AND SMELL THE COFFEE.

Smudge its a no brainer but as it comes down from the no brainers what do you expect.

Its just a matter of pre planning but lets all be honest, have we as managers, coaches, chairman and secretarys of clubs tried to arrange an earlier KO knowing this international was taking place for a while now ?

Fair play to anyone who has :applaus:

The League should be on the ball,Bank holidays 11am starts no one moans, but moving games forward seems to get a different response.Excuses abound!!!!!! if the League cared about their Clubs they would of seen this coming, and took action.Maybe the Clubs should go on strike for a day,in disgust at the GREEDY BLEED EM DRY F.A..

I must admit the game was not on my list of priorities but, when I realised last weekend, we approached Ash to bring our game forward. I think we are waiting for clarification, although I understand it may be too short notice for them. Hopefully we will be able to bring it forward to an earlier time to suit all, as it will be nice to get a few people in the club watching the game and also mean that our lads (who are, like all players, football fans) can also watch it. To be fair to the CCL, Alan arranges our fixtures well in advance as we all know and Saturday is always 3pm. However, if 2 clubs wish to change the time of a game, for whatever reason, they can do so as long as acceptable notice is given to the league - Friday night games are an example. Also remember that a 1.30 kick off may suit us as the home side, as many players live locally, but the Ash lads would then possibly have to be meeting at about 11am to get to us at the normal pre-match time.

I really do not believe that the FA take the real fans into consideration any more, as the financial benefits from TV are paramount. When Wembley was being redeveloped it was fantastic to see England playing games all around the country and, in my view, made the atmosphere much better and more of a benefit to us - remember Beckham curling that free kick into the Greek goal at Old Trafford, what a moment! Gary Speed was on Goals on Sunday recently and he openly expressed a wish that Wales played most of their home games at one of the new Welsh grounds as the intimidating atmosphere would benefit them more that playing in front of 30,000 at Millenium, but the Welsh FA need the money and will not consider this. It's not quite the same with England, as we tend to sell out at the new Wembley, but taking the game to the country was better for the team I'm sure.

Sorry, I got a bit off track, but it would be nice to get an early kick off if possible!

Just seen some posts that covered some of my points, I'm not the fastest on the old keyboard.

Smudge, we could all go on strike, get fined £100's and where will it go - FA!

Not being a keen watcher of the National sides myself, this game has not just appeared, the date has been known a long time.Even though I had no idea it was on until now.Why are away Clubs not in favour of an earlier kick off,if they were at home they would no doubt be asking for it to change. But if the League had said the games should be played at 1/1.30 pm they would not of raised an eyelid.Think it is a defeatist attitude by Clubs.

If I had anything to do with fixtures this game would of been brought forward to Friday night,so that it would have taken them less time to get there.Still at least when they got there, they would have acres of Ground to Park, not a 5 min hike.

You sure it's on terrestrial TV?

Thought it was only home matches that were on ITV/BBC and all away matches are omly on SKY?

If so, a lot of clubs (like Cobham) don't have SKY so it wouldn't bring any extra revenue in for them and if anything everyone will bugger off straight away to get to somewhere that is showing it, so would bring in even less!

Why do you blame the league and/or FA for everything?

I'm sure if any clubs wanted to switch kick off times the league would have said yes.

No other league in the country has forced teams to change their kick off times although a lot of clubs have chosen to do so and none of the leagues have refused.

And the English FA can't chose kick off times for away games.

Because unlike me they never go to games at this level,to see for themselves what Clubs are up against Financially,They are slowly killing the game,by their pampering to the haves, and could not give a monkeys about the have not's.Most of the people who run these establishments are like me past their sell by date.Yet they champion the RESPECT CAMPAIGN,well if they had any RESPECT AT ALL,they would get out and about a bit more and show themselves at games. There were plenty of shirts at Colston Ave last week, because it was their Cup Final, proud to wear their uniforms, but by the absence of C.C.L. reps.it showed to me how much they care about their sides.

Funny old world,Smudge has a little moan about Official Website not being updated, and low and behold it is now updated. But sadly no mention of South Park's wonderful victory in the Surrey Premier Final against A.F.C. Wimbledon Res.Still they must be nailed on for March Div 1 Team of the Month,or even a new award to reward their achievement.
