Well there's a shock !

It has been confirmed this evening the John Hampshire has got the Egham job.

I do not know John but have heard good things about him and genuinley wish him all the best.

However what this does clear up is exactly what i knew.

My so called assistant and friend Colin Bartholomew who i bought to the club and gave a job and a youth team after Chertsey sacked him has stabbed me in the back with a giant sword. When Wayne Noad left the club to retire and join Cove, Colin asked if Wayne could help out with the youth team. I said no as he had lied about his reasons for leaving and also you cannot have a youth team coach who is playing for another club in the same league. A conflict of interest.

Despite me requesting this Noady attended a youth training session of which Colin denied and said Wayne was just collecting something from him. I could not prove this either way so took Colins word.

At this point i told Colin this could not happen again to which he agreed.

After being sacked on Friday, Colin met me for a beer on Saturday.

night to say how sorry he was that me and Roy were going.

However after he left i was informed that behind my back he had asked Noady to take the youth game on the Wednesday before i was sacked. When i text Coiln on Sunday to expalin he ignored my calls but sent my text onto Noady who then text me with the message to" get over it Bruv " ! Unfortunatley for Wayne he had also sent me the original message i had sent Coiln which revealed that Colin had been forwarding my messages onto Wayne. After a heated conversation with Wayne he admitted that Colin had been sending my messages to him all along. Colin has since been unable to answer his phone but has done his best to stir things up at the club. Low and behold this evening Noadys mate John Hamshire has got the job with both him and Colin involved.

To say this was a back stabbing stich up would be a slight understatement.

I have no issue with the club and would like to thank everyone for my time there as i really enjoyed it.

The only issue i have is with the the actions of Coiln and Noady who have between them got me the sack.

My biggest dissapiontment is Colin Bartholomew who i believed to be a friend but has turned out to be a dirty two faced liar.

The ironic thing is that he has continuallly slagged off all the comittee at Egham and Noady when he played for me.

He has more faces than big ben and has no place in non league football.

I know there will be lots of opinions on this and many people who believe they know the truth however this is gospel

and needs to be said.

I look forward to seeing these individuals face to face.

Not sure they could do that !

Steve.....Unfortunately there are many 2 faced people in football who are out to get what they want and are prepared to stitch people up for it. Whilst I know it probably hurts right now, all you can do is continue to be honest and hold your head high. Believe me, I know!!

 

Take the rest of the season off, go watch a few games, recharge your batteries and see what happens at the end of the season. Good luck

Agree with El Gaffer and like he says he should know! There are too many people running clubs at this level who know **** all about the game and/or how to conduct themselves and treat others.

I see Rotherham United have sacked Ronnie Moore (6th in league 2, a play off place, and getting a new stadium shortly).

Absolutely nothing surprises me any more at football clubs at all levels.

The player and management merry go round continues, yet what good does all this do?

No stability and no opportunities for a manager to impose his mark on a club on and off the field.

There appears to be little or no loyalty left in the game and I am probably at my most despondent re our "national" game for many reasons.

For example, quite how the FA have permitted the Wales v England game to kick off at 3pm on Saturday is beyond me, a slap in the face for non-league football.

A two week "hole" in the premiership too (which will overspill, again, into the cricket season) as we have added a delightful friendly against Ghana (FFS)!

We are at home to Camberley, an attractive game, on Saturday but we will do well to get 30 people there (AFC Wimbledon at home too)!
