Who the hell John Hampshire???

Recommended Posts

Ex Merstham manager............really coffee%20(2).gif dont remember that one

Assistant at Guildford......... Am sure on of the city legions will confirm ye or nay

Suprised Tempestward has not been on his case, all done in a rush I would think,so many mistakes.

... and there you are again. On whose case? What mistakes? You are a fine one to talk! Anyway, what can I say? I had never heard of Mr Hampshire until yesterday evening so have nothing to offer that has not been offered by others more qualified. You could do the same and save us all the trouble of biting back!!! Before I went to see Pat Bennett to hear his explanation for the Baker sacking I only guessed Wayne Noad's linking with the club because of the suppositions I saw on this site. Get your backside over to Egham Town, get to know us and maybe this nastiness can stop. I for one am getting sick of it but I will bite if I or my club are slagged off.

Anyway, I am pleased to read so many positive comments about our new supremo. Pearcey is right; we have a good crop of players and although I would question what he seems to say about Justin Gray. I think he is a decent keeper, but who can be better than Pearcey??? You are welcome back any time mate.

you are probably right T, Pearcey is a mate of John and Pass so they will probably ask him back to Egham

After hearing everything that has been said I gotta say i am still gutted Steve hs gone. A top bloke as manager and player (before that) and he will be missed. Thanks Steve. Look forward to seeing you again even if it is against us!

As a supporter, when these things happen (despite wanting to) there is little point in arguing about it coz it's like having an arguement with the ref after he's made his mind up...pointless.

I really hope the new manager (however you spell his name !) is also a top bloke coz as a Sarnie supporter I just want him to do well for us.

UP THE EGHAM !

New Egham Town Manager. Anybody know him? Wayne Noad youth team manager.

john is a good lad,i've known him since he was an apprentice at fulham, many years ago! he has been coached at a high level and will no doubtedly bring that experience with him.if he can keep the side together add a few players of quality, not too many.from what i've seen he needs a forward to work with pommers(gravesy would be pertfect),a keeper and someone to replace the ariel ability of foulser.in ginger, karle, bentley, tom martin, pommers, houghton, charlie muldowney he has the basis of a good side! not forgetting oaksey who will always give you 110% whatever!

my worries are that some of the players don't get on with noady,as he can be firey and that could be a problem for the new manager,it says on the web site that they are a team of 3,well i reckon mr passmore will be part of the 3,whose the 3rd? too many cooks?????

i hope he doesn't rip apart the side as i said above they're a good bunch!

looks like my plan of possibly going back to egham has gone a bit pearshaped,so i'll be looking for trials in august after i return from injury.

finnaly all the best to roy butler and steve baker in their new direction wherever it takes them and to john and his 2 assistants

SMASHY does that mean your out at ASHFORD TOWN. coffee%20%282%29.gif

Well said mate Up the Egham Lets put this behind us now and get back to leaving Badger in carparks getting lost and getting killed due to some very poor driving by myself and asking why no one at Egham can deliver a corner above head hight of a midget :525:

John Hamsher (not Hampshire) was at Guildford City when we were managed by Dave Tidy (Oct 2008-Feb 2009).

I believe he had some sort of assistant/coaching role during that time.

Pearcey have checked back through posts regarding Egham and Steve Bakers sacking, there is no mention of you, being a back stabber by any person who posts on here.Your post here baffles me though, was it a smoke screen,Going back to Egham, gone pear shaped, trials in august after returning from injury, then your in the Management Team out of the blue.COINCIDENCE?

John Hamsher and Lee Passmore are two very nice guys and will be a class act at Egham, its a shame what happened to Steve but we all know the pitfalls of this position and if any club wants to make a change of management they will do it regardless,I don't know Pearcey but if he is in the same mould as John and Lee then good luck to him as well.

Smudge, me old darling, when our new boss was named I had never heard of him. It was only when I rang Gareth at Ashford Town that I got any kind of background knowledge of him, and it was only during the horror show at The Spectrum on Wednesday that I found out how he spells his surname. Since then I have just sat back and watched as others get their nadgers in a knot over something that was unfortunate but given the record at this club perhaps inevitable. Still, it has got me listening to Nazareth and Elton John again - both have songs called The King Is Dead. Now it is time for me to go and see the coronation of the new King, hopefully with, if not a win, then certainly a performance much improved on the last two.
