Kevin Rain as Caretaker Manager

My only concern is that if he wins 3 or 4 of his 8 games in charge, there will no doubt be calls for him to get the job on a permanent basis. Then in a year's time or so, he'll be deemed 'not the right man for the job' and we'll be back to square one.

Can you please tell me the Lottery numbers for Friday as I really need £117 million at the moment!!!!!

U arent gonna drink THAT MUCH with the Urchins on Saturday are u???? lol ;)

Kevin Raine as caretaker makes no sense because if the proper permanent manager wasnt available until the summer then IOC may as well been given to the end of the season

We shouldn't get CK back - just because he did well years and years ago, doesn't mean he will do well again . Didnt he get sacked last time ? Plus we dont need his medieval tactics ( he would Defo get Billy Edwards back as chief Hoofer !!!!

At least we won't need rubbish mid-fielders anymore, or anyone to sow seed down the middle, but IF CK comes back lets hope his system works.

I am in the look forwards not backwards camp. A good upcoming manager to take us onwards and upwards. A few Kent teams performing well in lower leagues this season - Faversham, Sittingbourne (before money ran out) Herne Bay. Whether any of these guys would want to take the plunge with our recent track record who knows but this is the approach we need not reliving the past glory days..

we need someone who can work without a significant budget and can meet the expectations of the board and fans alike !!

Basically the requirement of any club that is hiring so with our track record i doubt the queue will be long!

I would not mind pinky and perky from concord as thought their encouragement from the sidelines was refreshingly positive and sadly for us yesterday they seem to want their team to knock it around!

Reality is grateful it is not my decision as would spend my working day defending the appointment to us on the forum !! lol

Oh it might make a lot of sense if you look at it this way. CK cannot start till next season. His former number 2 steps in untill that time to take a look at the players on his behalf.

At the end of the season CK steps in, listens to KR about who is good enough & who is not etc etc & then CK takes over & KR drops to his number 2 spot again.Maybe even get Bob Wainwright (God rest his soul) back from heaven to administer the sponge again too. A dazzling trio from the past.

Just a theory on my part. (as if you hadn't guessed already) ;) :)

The above is just a therory on my part I have to add,as if you didnt know that already.:) .

Bob would need to fight John Griffin for the bucket and Winkle had better keep his eyes open for Kev Martin

Oh yes sorry, Bob was Almer Hall days wasn't he.Still a legend with the sponge nevertheless.

Great picture in local paper of Bob with his head appearing out of the tunnel when it was first built. Is it still possible to get a copy of that page I wonder.
