Padlock, I'm pretty sure I know who you are, and got on well with you when I was at Horley. For the record I'm Ali Rennie the previous Horley Town Manager.

 

I read the CCL Forum regularly but don't often feel the need to post. I read the stuff a while back following the Horley v Egham match. I absolutely think you have the right to state your opinion, I didn't think however that the tone of your postings portrayed you in particular or Horley Football Club in a very good light.

 

I am however more concerned about your recent "conversation" with HTFC Supporter (aka Juppy). You suggested he had me in his pocket. I find that quite insulting.

 

Anthony was my skipper. He was a great player for me and for Horley during my 3 years there. I didn't know him before I joined the club but now regard him as a friend, we stay in contact even though I'm no longer at the club. He was a great skipper both on and off the pitch, he is Horley through and through. You'll find that most Managers have a close relationship with their skipper, it's good management.

 

I have fond memories of my time at Horley there were and are a lot of good people there. I think Gilly is doing a great job considering he has no budget.

 

Oh and by the way I liked Steve Baker. Always got on well with him when we played Egham, so Steve I'm sorry to see you lost your job. Good luck for your next one.
