As you are aware my last post on the subject was just "Don't fans count", expressing how pi**ed off i was.

Well let me now reflect and add some... Did you know i went to the Hendon game today, a choice i had to make about going to this match

or traveliing down to Bournemouth to see Roger Daltrey in a warm up concert. As you'll know this is not a choice i take likely. But i had decided

a week or so ago i would go to Hendon, and had two other fans asking for a lift, so despite the issues this week, i decided to go

I'm glad i went, not only was it an entertaining match, but we got 3 GEORGOUS LOVELY POINTS. The boys attitude to the game was far above my expectations,

and yes we did have some daft moments. But the one main point i would like to share with you is this.

Keith Piper spent a good 15 minutes with me telling why/how/when, and i have to say I could NOT fault him or any of the Officers of MFC reasons for this unfortunate

episode. I may not agree with timescales, but i do understand why.

It is worth getting the facts and at least understand why this situation occured.

Please, please, please may I ask any of you who wish to know why/how and any other points speak to Keith, after all you have 3 home matches coming up, so you

should find time to track him down.

But well done lads 3 sexy points.

I agree, its not a question that i'm not prepared to print, it's just sometimes talking things through are far more better than the sometimes harsh print of words.

I do not want to leave any downers on anyone or any issues, only to say what we all have to understand that the Boards measure of success as agreed with the Manger

was to be in the top half of the league, The Manger was pushing hard to get a commitment from the board for a new contract for next season. On present form the Board was unable to do this. The Board feel that we have some good quality players out there who should be winning games, but perhaps did not have the tactical guidance they needed.

Developing the young was always a strong emphassis, but how many times have we seen the youngsters taken along to warm the bench.

Please don't tear these words to shread, as I said Talk to Keith and satisfy your self, as i said it dosn't mean you have to agree, but i think you'll all understand better.

Still do not understand why the Board hide behind such an ambiguous statement regarding IOC leaving the club. He was either sacked or he walked away. Why not a simple statement from the Board to confirm which it was. If he walked away then the club have nothing to hide. On the other hand.......???

Well done on your little chat with Mr Piper. It's not practical to suggest every fan with a question should speak to him so therefore a generic, honest statement with the truth should be issued on the website.

Stop showing off because you have sweets and won't share them with anyone.

Either tell us what he said to you in your private interview or don't say anything at all.

Or perhaps MFC just want to ensure everyone involved with this unfortunate issue can draw a suitable line under it, without causing anymore grief. (IMO)

As i said I felt very bad too, when i found out on our favourite grapevine about IOC, but theses decisions are no different to any run business. Often the

Facts are just quite simple, and sometimes decissions very difficult to make when moving a club forward.

Often more will be read into things, that perhaps there is.

Again all i'm doing is just trying to encourage all you fans and supporters to speak to Keith, and at least understand.

This type of statement is bang out of order. Firstly it was not a private interview, it was in the public bar at Hendon in the precense of many people.

Please come and introduce yourself to me on Tuesday. Look forward to it.

Many supporters are "trying to understand" the situation but the Board are not helping with their ambiguous statement. Was he sacked or did he walk- a simple statement would clear up this whole issue. Why the need to be devious?

I think you have ear muffs on - Mark has just told you of his conversation with KP, not word for word but hardly ambiguous or misleading. The club have made a statement and have told us what they feel is necessary for us to know which considering they are a "business" seems quite fair, we have no given right to know anymore than this. We all really need to get on now as this subject seems to be dragging its heels.

But he's going to see him on Thursday anyway - so not quite as big a sacrifice as he's making out! ;)

The Chairman would say that wouldn't he? Shame he didn't tell IOC!! He doesn't mention other factors that came into play. I think Keith has played you like a good un because you are a gent. He has said what he feels that some of the fans would like to here. Truth doesn't seem to come into it. Didn't mention these factors originally - just as an ambiguous statement was by the club, another play of words by the Chairman. The top half of the League is what the Directors apparently wanted but they can't have it both ways. The Directors squeezed the squad dry and so the youngsters have to be taken along to enable the team to have subs? Mentioning the youngsters very clever! This was all about economy and saving wages.I think it is very poor form that you have printed the words of the Chairman, during a private conversation as if they were fact. There is always another side to the story. I think you did it with the best of intentions but have been used. Didn't you wonder why none of this was in the website statement? CLEVER OLD KEITH

Goodness me gillingham boy is this tincan alley and are we all moving targets!!

It seems to me that you criticise someone for talking to the chairman and letting us know what was said and yet you continue to regurgitate the IOC line and refer to facts ??!!! If you are going to criticise a source then let us know yours?

Pot kettle black me thinks!!!

Finally, as a businessman i would not want all the finer details of my business open to public knowledge and scrutiny. We are fans and understandably interested and concerned with how our club is run. However, the board must make decisions for the good of the club based on "facts" that are not in the public domain and rightly should not be.The board have invested in the club and with dwindling gates receipts no doubt they will continue to do so.If they have put their money in then they are entitled to make decisions. If we want that right then surely we should do a Lewes and buy the club ourselves and invest as the board have done.if we do not then are we really able to complain?

Dont get me wrong i am not advocating that the board can act with absolute impunity towards the fans but they do not have to answer for each and every decision. If they did then this forum itself demonstrates that we, as fans, cant agree on everything. The result would be chaos!

So lets support the club and the board and look forward and FFS give up the personal attacks.:wall:
