Smudge, do you think it would be better to say at an interview that you have no players and to be honest Mr Chairman I don't think I've got chance of winning anything, all managers want to win and believe there way will it, so I don't think it's bull sh*t it's more like positive thinking....

Take Merstham as an example their last 2 Managers Mick Sullivan and Graeme Banyard are my kind of guys,but not given the resources(financially) by the Club to move it forward.The current Manager Andy Martin who I must say I have not met,and is probably a good guy,met with the supporters Yesterday evening,and is being given rave reviews on their Website for the way he came across,in answer to Questions put.But if I had been there only want to ask 2 questions,are we in a Relegation threatening position after just 6 games in charge,if the answer was yes,he is honest.Secondly why have we not won many games,the answers to this question would be very revealing to me,Because promises may of been made at interview about his way forward,for the Club,which enabled him to be appointed.The usual suspects,I have good contacts,know loads of Players at a higher standard etc come to mind.but so do I,but they are playing for more money,at better Clubs.

But he still has those contacts and he could get them at the club next season, so I don't think you can judge a manager unless he has had pre season and the chance to bring players in.
