Mechanations of the Board

Recommended Posts

What a short sighted response by the Margate Board in the removal of the Margate Manager. The club needs stability and here we go again with yet another Manager. I wonder what the players re going to make of all this? Isn't it time that the Board looked at themselves? But of course they have gradually been pulling the rug from under the Manager's feet with what can only be described as a financial clawback with the off loading of so many players. Are we the only club in the League with such a skeletal squad? I think the writing was on the wall with the sacking of the assistant John Keister, leaving the Manager isolated. It is hard not to feel that the Board have manouvered the outcome they wanted. Are we to see a new Manager installed (CK?) + an assistant with a sudden release of funds? There are few surprises in football and certainly no loyalties. The question that has to be answered is why now?

I could not agree more with what has previously been said. Stabilty/Continuity the board do not know the meaning of the words. IOC has done well under very difficult circumstances - threadbare squad, no assistant and an ever decreasing budget.Surely he should have been given till at least the end of the season. Why make the decision now? It will be interesting to see if the incoming Manager (ck?) has an increased budget and provision for an assistant!
