psych
Wasn't the story that Butler was chosen by Gordon Wallis and when Wallis went Butler went? Unlikely to be him surely? Ford would be a big mistake so not sure who else is likely. Gary Abbott from Sittingbourne maybe?

Just had confirmation by the man himself (IOC) - was let go last night as results werent going our way... I dont pay the wages/finance the team so have absolutely no say in this action by MFC but have to say I am disappointed he wasnt afforded more time. MB is an unlikely candidate (but strange how GW was at the Carshalton game!!!). Andy Ford - GOD PLEASE NOOO. Mark Seager is a maybe and Gary Abbott a possibility, who knows maybe even CK might throw his hat in the ring..... wrong time of the season to be bringing in a new manager IMHO but what do I/we know eh. Porka
I think Steve Butler has left Maidstone where he was working as a coach under Andy Ford. Obviously has coaching experience at Leicester and Stevenage alongside Peter Taylor and quite well regarded as a coach. Could be a decent option. Andy .
this topic should not even be happening but unfortunatly this season same as the last few , sack the manager and no ground works . Only suggested Andy Ford as he left Maidstone by the way . Will this club ever get on an even keel again . Gutted
Twist&Shout
IMO need someone who has experience..if we want to push for promotion next season and get into the conference again in a few years we need to push the boat out with this next appointment

MummyBunny
ffs absolutely luidicrous IMO ... the club needs stability at the minute ..... IOC was starting to make a difference... and now instead of concentrating on sorting the future of MFC out with the re-redevelopment, we now have this to contend with!!! Coffin Ender
The nub of it is that on paper we have a top half team, though we will finish below half way. I think the team has underperformed, though whether by enough to justify sacking the manager is open to debate.
Twist&Shout
I wasn't biggest fan of O'Connell...still find it strange though to not give him til end of season at least

In a nutshell - I agree 100% I wasn't biggest fan of O'Connell...still find it strange though to not give him til end of season at least I also agree (believe it or not). There was no point in releasing him now............Unless...........there is a replacement lined up!
