Woodford 1 - 3 Rebels

I couldnt go tonight but this is an excellent result. Woodford are the home clean sheet specialists of the league Only Aylesbury and Biggleswade had scored more than 2 here until tonight and the majority of teams leave goalless . This should boost the confidence in the team ahead of what should be imo three games where anything less than maximum points will be a real disappointment.

Very good performance tonight. Started brightly and then got through a rough patch where Woodford were on top to take the lead through Martin with an excellent finish having been played through. Burnell was then substituted after being booked for dissent. He argued with the lino who made a horrendous decision but Danny just wouldn't let it go and that resulted in the card.

Sonner replaced him and almost immediately scored. They started coming back into the game - we were clinging on a bit - and they scored with the last kick of the half.

This changed the game completely and they dominated for large periods of the second half without forcing Bully into too many saves. Then to seal the win Sincy scored one of the goals of the season. Coyne picked out a great pass, Sincs jinked passed his marker and bought the ball forward and arrowed it into the far corner to seal the points.

Great stuff particularly when we only had 7 players at the ground half hour before kick off.

Great result and a really well ground out win against a tough Woodford team. I can see why they don't lose many at home.

Three really high quality goals from the lads last night. Simon's finish was excellent and Sean took his chance very welll considering he'd only been on the field a minute or two. The goal from Sincs was very much a candidate for goal of the season beating a very good keeper from distance with a shot that arrowed across him.

Nice of the Woodford guys to mention our bike ride over the tannoy. Some nice people at that club.

Massive win, keeping us in the hunt for 4th or 5th spot.

We gave away the obligatory goal with some poor marking. We also missed 3 gilt edged chances to score and Woodford missed a fairly easy chance which would have made it 2-2 at the time.

Overall a very good performance considering the circumstances.

Above Biggleswade on goals scored but they have 2 game in hand.

We need to make our games in hand on Rugby count and go to Leighton and get a result.
