For those who can't be bothered to click the website link it says

 

"Margate Football Club are currently in discussion with AFC Hornchurch and the Ryman League concerning the kick-off time for the match scheduled for Saturday 26thMarch.

 

We anticipate that a 3pm kick-off at Hartsdown Park would have a significant impact on the attendance given the Wales versus England European Championship tie is scheduled to start at the same time.

 

As yet we have no agreement to change the kick-off time from 3pm to 1pm, as most other matches in the Ryman League will be doing. Like other clubs, we would like to give supporters the opportunity to see our match and the England match.

 

As soon as we have confirmation of the kick-off time, we will announce it on the official club website."

I'll be at Hartsdown whether it be 1pm or 3pm. The England game will have highlights on TV later I should think. I'll bet they'll be brief highlights of yet another insipid England performance. Don't get me started on Capello, if you think I've given IOC a rough ride you've ain't seen nothing should I get started on that Italian clown.

 

I digress, anyway it's got to be Hartsdown because let's face it the club needs all the bodies it can through the turnstile, and even though it's just one body, plus programme, 50-50 and superdraw ticket, every little helps - (there's a slogan somewhere in there lol)

I'd like 13.00hr kick off, the club might benefit in the bar after 15.00 also we may just get a few more through the turnstiles if two matches are advertised.

Plus the players would be able to spend more time with the kids party being held on the day..........and I am not referring to Pagey in the sponsors lounge........although he does have a track record when it comes to drinking!!!!!

We could always start at 1pm and Hornchurch can join in at 3pm after we have built up a lead!!!!!!

 

 

Without opponents we might score from the kick off but after that we wouldn't get any set pieces so I wouldn't fancy our scoring chances.

 

Yup, Shaun still wouldn't get on the scoresheet. Cows backside and Banjo come to mind :smilewinkgrin:
