TO MOLLY AND SOUTH PARK, WELL DONE LAST NIGHT YOU DID THE CCL PROUD. YOU CAN ONLY BEAT WHATS PUT IN FRONT OF YOU, IT IS AFC DECISION WHAT TEAM THEY PUT OUT BUT YOU CANNOT TAKE AWAY SOUTH PARKS PROUD MOMENT.

I HAVE HEARD LOTS OF GOOD THINGS ABOUT SOUTH PARK AND SEE THAT WITH GAMES IN HAND, THEY LOOK CERTAINCIES FOR PROMOTION....I HOPE SO, AS I WOULD LOVE TO GO AND SEE THEIR SET UP NEXT SEASON IN THE PREM.

BTW MOLLY, DID YOU SWAP SHIRTS WITH MARCUS GAYLE......................HA HA !!!

Good luck to South Park although they'll have their work cut out. From what I've heard Marcus Gayle has used the same squad of 16 all season.

A SON OF ONE OF MY MATES WHO PLAYS FOR AFC RESERVES, INFORMS ME THAT IT APPEARS THAT MARCUS GAYLE HAS MADE A FEW APPEARANCES THIS SEASON AND MAYBE STARTING IN THE FINAL TOMORROW.......HE'S ASKED ME TO GO AND WATCH TO SEE WHAT I THINK OF HIS SON AND THE STANDARD, SO MIGHT JUST DO THAT AND SEE MOLLY11 ....IF SELECTED ..........HA HA !

ONE CONCERN THO', ANOTHER HORRENDOUS MIDWEEK JOURNEY..............

I think your mate is feeding you duff info NG. Don't think Gayle has appeared for the reserves this season and I don't think he's likely to make one tomorrow! He's 40 years old, so would look slightly out of place I think.

TRS SO DID MARCUS GAYLE PLAY ......... LOL !

Marcus didnt play!! Wouldnt have made much difference either IMO. Well played to South Park, very disciplined performance, organised and made it hard for Wimbledon to play their usual fast football. Referee was awful, was all about him on the night, i think the only player he didnt book was Rhino!!

Thanks everyone a great squad effort, especially from the two lads who came on after playing 90 for the reserves the previous night. If we gain promotion i can retire a happy man dance%20(2).gif . Thanks all that came to support.

I can quite catorgorically say they do not have a midweek team. Their team last night involved the same players that made them top of the suburban League. I know most of the players and they play on Saturdays as well as midweek. It wasnt a weaker side but from playing with most of these players at the beginning of the season, Marcus didnt choose the right team for that game.

I'm not going to make many friends for this but although I offer congrats to South Park they were very fortunate.

The ref did not help, he was awful for both sides. The Dons keeper should have got a red card, for instance, but South Park were lucky to finish with 10 men. And their No6 was a disgrace at the speed he got up after the ref sent of the Dons player.

The main 90 mins were fairly even but Dons took complete control in extra time and were the only team that actually tried to pass.

The high defensive line meant all South Park did was long ball down the middle, virtually every single time. Barely an attempt to do anything different.#

Without Rhino in goal it could have been totally different scoreline.

Still, congrats and good luck for the future.

Thanks for your kinds words on the Dons forum, you managed to offend two clubs and supporters. Sore loser? I think so.

think you will see when 1st team are not in midweek action 3/4 squad players have played take last midweek game. had 3

1st team squad players playing. there is nothing wrong with that, why do teams run reserve sides.coffee%20%282%29.gif

I agree completely..... I said their midweek side is different to their Sat side for exactly the reason above. It is the correct way to run the reserves. We have played Wimbledon 4 times this year twice midweek and twice on saturdays and for me their midweek squad was the stronger of the two.

Well done to South park...Molly I hope the tip worked for you.

No mate i was off injured, after watching TRS vids the Dons keeper dived to his right and saved 2 in 1 of the games so if we got a penalty i was putting it left, problem was i forgot to tell anyone when i went off! Doh! Be 33 this year and got another Molly due in the summer, so would be nice to go out on a real high, but who knows might get rid of the beer gut and give it another season.

Get in there South Park! Awesome game to watch, had everything, including a ref who seemed to want to be centre of attention all night.

AFC were a very good side and i echo whats been said about how its obvious why they are top of the Suburban Prem, i just feel they have too many individuals wanting to do the extra trick or the mazy 40 yard run..... Anyhow Park dug deep, defended brilliantly and got what i thought was a deserved result.

Now to concentrate on the league and promotion.....

P.S. pleased to meet ya Smudge!

Of course that happens im not saying it doesnt but i played there at the beginning of the season, my brother is first team player there and i know Gayley very well and all of the players very well. When i watch them play there is rarely first team players playing other than when they need to get fit etc as what should happen at any club as imo is the correct way to run a club.

Not sure how I offended two clubs but whatever.

Even if we had won my opinion on South Park would not change.

They were a physical side who, may have skill but chose not to show it, but simply played the ball over the top for fair on the whole game.

I couldn't watch that week in week out, IMHO it was awful to watch.

I know you guys on here are proud of them because they are a CCL side but, quie frankly, I would be embarassed to follow a side that played like that each week. Maybe when up against other CCL sides their game changes.

As a coach of youth players if any of my team did some of the things SP players did, particlarly the no6 I would sling them out.
