Cycling again :-)

With just 48 hours rest after the 78 miles to Rugby we're off again tomorrow to Woodford. :runyouover:

Just 66 miles this time although we have the advantage of it being an evening fixture so we don't have to set off at stupid o'clock. We'll be leaving at about 11:30am and having a very lazy ride which will involve lunch and dinner! Having said it's 66 miles we're then cycling back to mine from Wexham Park when we get off the coach so it'll be about 70 miles in total.

As ever our route will take us to Wycombe and on to Princes Risborough and Aylesbury although about 10 miles north of there is where we venture into new territory as we branch off in a North-Westerly direction towards Woodford. It's a very rural route with lots of narrow country roads so should be really pleasant.

Tomorrow will be just myself and Andy as Claire has work commitments she couldn't change but if you do pass us on the way, please give us a :wavey:

A lovely ride yesterday! We left in plenty of time (11:30am) so stopped for coffee and cake in Princes Risborough, had an extended stop in Buckingham then tried to find a pub for food. Unfortunately, as we'd routed ourselves through the little villages none of the pubs were open until 6pm so we had to keep going!

We therefore got to Woodford at 5:45pm so had to kill time in the clubhouse with pints of Greene King IPA and games of pool until the burgers were ready!! Quite bizarely my trip computer when we got there said it had taken us 4 hours, 44 minutes and 44 seconds of actual cycling time! We cycled back from Wexham Park to mine so just over 70 miles for the day.

One more 'official' ride to go to Leighton and that's us done although we're cycling to the Beaconsfield 'away' game, just because. Thanks again last night to Dave Carpenter and Alan Harding who very generously contributed towards the fund raising.
