DIV 1 FINAL

Just found out the venue for the final will be at Molesey and i must admit im slightly disappointed. Although when i've played there the people involed in the club have been very hospitable and the beer is cheap which is always a bonus, but the changing rooms are the worst i've been in this season and the pitch was very average. Im all up for having the final inside the CCL and having a CCL club getting some revenue, i've not played at every Prem ground just wondering if it is me just being picky or is this the best the CCL have to offer.

Guess Ashford was out, as every Div 1 side will have played there this season. Can't comment on the changing rooms obviously (or the pitch for that matter as i've not been this season), but it is a Ryman standard ground midway between the 2 finalists. I can see why it was chosen.

That is a poor venue agree taking nothing away from molesey but there is better venues im disappointed with that how about asking other ryman level clubs or higher but i expect its down to money

You are correct Animal,but Bank Holidays have downsides,worse Traffic and Travel conditions,and convincing the other half to go to a footie match with the kids,when they want to go Legoland.Whereas Sundays,once you have been to Church,nothing better than getting them out and about to let off some steam,at a Footie Match.I presume most people on here go to Church. Little Angels you are.!!!!!!!

Must say I am in favour of C.C.L. Final's being held at C.C.L. Grounds.Further to that,just my wish that the A.G.M. should also be held at a C.C.L. Clubhouse rather than a Ryman one.The Conference and Ryman Leagues play their PLAY OFF Finals in house,so why not the C.C.L.So cancel Farnborough Town for the Premier Final,wait and see who makes the Final then choose a ground,within the C.C.L. that is equidistant to both Clubs makes sense to me.

 

Disagree Smudge. I can't think of a single ground in the CCL that you get the wow factor at. There are some nice grounds but none in my opinion warrant hosting a cup final for the CCL Premier Teams. Its like holding the FA Cup final at Old Trafford or The Emirates. Both nice grounds, but they are hardly Wembley.

 

On the changing room side at Molesey, I found the away dressing room to be one of the better ones in the CCL.

I know The Fan I nearly found myself walking in it, weren't impressed myself! Its the horses from the back of the ground and there's a whole in the fence and I think they get into the ground. Should of been cleared up, people don't want to be watching a game next to a pile of Horse POO!!
