i do have some quetions.

can guildford city go up?

if not does the promotion go to 2nd place?

how have bookham got new tracksuits and new kit?

blah blah blah blah same old same old ,getting tired of hearing this now ,yes guildford have surprised everyone !we werent even in the script to finish in the top four ,as for chertsey ,camberley ,molesey and egham they were all tipped to win it ,which are all very good sides ,at some of our away games all ive heard is miserable old gits moaning about how well guildford are doing ,but you,ll never go up with that ground .kevin ,roly and the team have done wonders for the club this season and torn up the predictors scripts but any league can throw up surprises .the people who run this club are doing the best they can to insure promotion if we win the league ,it cant be easy trying to run a club with a non-proactive council and the football loving public of the town failing to come down to support their home town club ,guildford city like many other clubs have the potential to be big non league clubs with the right backing and facilities.............yep ive said my piece .

I've been saying it for ages - the town of Guildford should be able to support a Conference South side at least, but not at that ground. I hope they do eventually get a new ground somewhere but these things are never easy in Surrey.

In my view the answers are

1 - No. The ground gradings clearly stipulate the ground must have at least three sides fully open to spectators at step 4 and above which I think will be the Spectrum's biggest downfall. Bear in mind clubs have been refused promotion at various levels for things a lot smaller than this. Poole were refused last season as their boundary isn't permanent. They passed on everything else. It's a stupid rule, but every other club has to abide by it so no exceptions.

2 - Possibly but not definitely. Twelve teams get promoted from step 5 from 14 leagues. If there are less than twelve teams who finish top, want promotion and have the grading then second placed teams from leagues who haven't promoted their winners may go up. To decide which ones get the nod the FA work out the points per game the teams finishing second got over the course of the season. Last season Witham Town were the first team who were eligible for promotion but lost out on points per game to Rainworth Miners Welfare and Wimborne Town. Witham got 2 points per game, Rainworth MW got 2.18, Wimborne got 2.17. You need to look at all 14 leagues to see who's leading the points per game race so far but Chertsey are on 2.25 which would have been enough last season.

3 - Pass.

4 - Whoever wins the league deserves to go up.
