Reading town for 1 they came into this league with a big time Charlie attitude and got there bums slapped they even had Neil Webb the former England player as their manager but it didn't matter they weren't up to it.

 

 

Reading Town were always in this league before switching to the Hellenic. I played my first ever CCL game against Reading Town and that was before Neil Webb was manager - 26/12/1998

N.G, its up to the managers to pull the people who are not giving their all and unload them I think you might be mistaken for weakened teams rather than people not trying, after all as a manager if you can't go up or down its time to blood new faces I know this is what we are doing at Cove,This is why we are very incosistent at the moment but it all bodes well for the future of the Club if we can introduce these lads to senior football now.A couple of our new lads are only 16 but they are loving playing in the 1st team and are doing very well.

 

DUNCS I CAN SEE THE LOGIC BEHIND THAT AND PERHAPS THATS WHAT OTHER CLUBS MAY ALREADY DO OR SHOULD DO IF THERE IS NOTHING TO PLAY FOR.

 

BUT THIS CAN ALSO HAVE AN ADVERSE EFFECT. WHAT HAPPENS TO THE 1ST TEAMERS WHO HAVE BEEN PLAYING ALL SEASON TO WHOM THESE YOUNGSTERS HAVE TAKEN THEIR PLACE ? YOU KNOW WHAT PLAYERS CAN BE LIKE, NO GAME.... SULK I'M OFF, BUT THEN AGAIN IF THEY ARE NOT TRYING YOU'RE BETTER TO GET RID AS THEY'RE NO GOOD TO YOU ANYWAY.

 

THE 2ND DOWNFALL, WHICH IS COMMON, YOU WILL COACH THESE LADS MAKE THEM BETTER PLAYERS THEN THEY'RE OFF TO CAMBERLEY, THEN MOVE ONTO BADSHOT LEA.... HA HA !!.... NO ONLY JOKING, BUT YOU GET MY POINT........ THERE IS PLEASURE THO' IN SEEING A YOUNG LAD IMPROVE WITH ONE'S COACHING THATS A NICE BIT ABOUT FOOTBALL......

This aint pro football NG if people only want to play on there terms then they can feck off the season runs from August to May not December or Janusry it finishes in May so if they only want to play till it suits them you are better off without them

Fleet also came into this league and finished bottom,Reading were relative newcomers as were Abingdon and Steyning alongside Withdean and Peppard and DCA Basingstoke do you want me to continue ?
