Another reason to hate refs

Recommended Posts

Ha ha, there is thread about this on our (Dagenham) forum. Ashley Vickers is the man who makes the "tackle". He was a legend at Dagenham for his tough tackling, no nonsense attitude, although off the pitch he was the nicest fella you could meet, and used to be a teacher at a school for kids with learning difficulties near Chelmsford.

As you say, what a ridiculous decision by the ref, a total and utter lack of common sense, but then what do you expect from a modern daty referee!! Vickers is quoted as saying even all the Havant players told the ref not to send him off and their Chairman apologies to him after. Yet another example of the ridiculous nature of football these days!!

Strangely you may think, but I disagree.

Players shouldn't be responsible for crowd control, leave it to the stewards or staff at the club, let the plonker run around starkers in the freezing cold, within 5 minutes he will freeze to death. Some players just want to get involved because that's the way they are, most with common sense would just let the tw@t get on with it and laugh.Say vickers broke the blokes neck dragging him to the ground, would he or the club be insured???

Silly but mo reason for a player to get involved, refs are still c**ts though

Rob mate. I think you're losing it.

For once i don't agree with you.

Nipped what could have been a serious situation in the bud.

If he was allowed to run around for 5 minutes the fans could have got angry.

Then, anything could have kicked off.
