How the hell can you be sent off for tackling a person that is not supposed to be there, harsh red card (not condoning the tackle) but harsh,

Ridiculous decision i.m.o. but one that has been made before it seems (see below clips) & one that IS covered by the the laws of the game as per law 12: and therefore the referee is correct to do as he did.

 

Violent conduct

A player is guilty of violent conduct if he uses excessive force or brutality

against an opponent when not challenging for the ball.

He is also guilty of violent conduct if he uses excessive force or brutality against

a team-mate, spectator, match offi cial or any other person.

 

 

Would be interesting to know what the outcome was for these other two.

 

A lillte common sense should be applied here i.m.o. but the referee HAS made the correct decision according to the laws of the game

Oh dear, Havant now charged with 'supporter misconduct'.
