I think on our day we can be as good. Unfortunately that day is Thursday and we usually play Saturdays!!!

If you count the first 45 minutes at Biggleswade then I agree we'd have slaughtered annyone but it's consistency that's the problem. I think Hitchin and Arlesey are a bit ahead of us (which makes walking away from a 1-0 lead at Arlesey rather foolhardy but that's another point!) but concur that we're as good as any of the rest.

Yes, I firmly believe that on our day we are as good as Arlesey, Hitchin etc, especially with the quality new signings we have made. You will not have long to

wait until my prediction comes to fruition and you can celebrate another successful season.

If "our day" came about a bit more often, then I would be inclined to agree with you Windsor Rebel. But how often does "our day" come about?

Very few games this season can I honestly say we have played really well. Most of the time its been "we did enough to beat a poor side, whereas on paper we should have taken them apart". Its no good saying that "on our day" we are just as good as Arlesey (especially when that day against Arlesey comes, they stuff us), the league table currently shows that we're 15 points behind Arlesey. Its shows that for a reason!

As Ian has already said, consistency is now the key to maintaining our play-off hopes. If we can acheive a bit of consistency (which we haven't really shown up until now), and can actually do our GD some good by stuffing poor teams (like we should have done but didn't do on Saturday - the odd clean sheet here and there wouldn't go amiss either!), then we might just be in with a chance, though we must bear in mind that there are 5 teams going for only 2 play-offs spots (though it would open up a bit to 6 teams going for 3 places if Daventry get docked points - nobody could have predicted or planned for that now could they? :) ).

I wouldn't like to be the one to say we absolutley will be one of them!

I dont even think you can say on our day we can match anyone - I think it is for 45 mins we can match anyone, as how many games have there been two completely different halves - far too many!

We now need 14 games of good consistent play and we will get into the playoffs - we also need the players to keep their mouths shut and not pick up cards for decent.
