Eversley FC Statement - Management Structure 2011/2012

Recommended Posts

Eversley FC are delighted to make the following announcements.

Firstly, Ian Savage & Andy Clement will be the clubs new first team joint managers for next season and beyond.

Chairman Daniel Nevitt said, ‘Sav & Clemo have a wealth of experience between them at all levels of the game and they both have an excellent reputation for improving and developing players with their coaching abilities and football knowledge.

Most importantly they have both had success individually in management and coaching roles at Step 6 and of course as a management team at Farnborough where together they won the Southern League South & West Division at Step 4 a couple of seasons ago.

They both have fantastic contacts from The Premiership to Step 6 and their track record as players and managers shows that they know what is needed within a team and club to win football matches at all levels.

As we have said previously we have an excellent new facility which is being improved again in the imminent future to allow the club to progress to the next tier of non league football. We see Sav & Clemo with their knowledge, experience and previous success as the perfect management team to achieve this.

As part of this appointment we wanted our new management team to look at implementing a stabile infrastructure throughout the club from next season and Sav in particular has been actively looking into this since his arrival at the club in October.

We would therefore like to take this opportunity to make a second announcement.

Gerald Donaldson will be joining the club from next season as Reserve Team Manager and Louis King will be joining the club to head up Youth Development.’

Ian Savage said ‘Gerald & Louis are perfect for the roles. Clemo & I want people on board that are prepared to work closely with us both and who have the experience and ability with dealing with players and who command respect from players within the local football scene. I have known Gerald for a long time and Louis I knew from his successful time as manager of Hartley Wintney last season. They both have outstanding contacts throughout the CCL and Hellenic leagues in particular and are extremely infectious and enthusiastic characters. Clemo & I are delighted that they have both accepted our invitation to join our football management team and we are very much looking forward to working with them both next season and long into the future.’

Both Mickey Shaw and Andy Rowe will continue in their goalkeeping coaching capacities for next season.

Thanks for the good luck message Nice Guy.

Not sure I agree about the pressure being on from now though. We have a good committee who are very realistic about what it takes to finish in the top 3 in this league. I would think that there are quite a few clubs, who by their own standards have underachieved so far this season and will expect to much more consistent next year.

As we have already found from the two seasons we have been in the league, I'm sure it will be a very competitive division again next year.
