What chance have we got?

Recommended Posts

After the abysmal showing by Premier League Officials over the past week,by the so called Top officials in the Land. The RESPECT campaign is in tatters.Elbows to face, swearing at Refs, mass brawls, and as usual unseen by the Managers, who hardly set a good example. And we are well down the pecking order,so what quality are we getting.Seems there is one rule for the RICH and one for the POOR,So nothing changes, nice to see Krooner criticising them though,he does have views.WHAT DOES THE FUTURE HOLD?

The disallowed goal at wolves was atrocious if anything was a pen for a foul by gomez

Carragher- straight red for tackle on nani. My player was sent off at frimley last week for th tackle maxi did on rafael just before rafael two footed lucas. So all in all 3 red cards there.. Even though im a yid! Hutton has to go for being last man and dont know why wolves goal was disallowed. The penalty fulham never got then got was a farce.

Yep agree with all the above. Perhaps our dear FA will take action. Or perhaps the managers will not pick those players for a week to show them it is just not on. Not down solely to refs but EVERYONE including managers who stand and shout and swear and moan at every decision even when it is right !!!!

Interesting chat on 5 live this morning. Journo from the Daily Mail was actually defending the refs partly. Said if Dowd had sent Carragher, Maxi, Rafael and Suarez (Hair Pulling) off does anyone think he would be allowed to referee on the Premier League again despite the fact he would have been well within his rights too ?

The sooner people accept that Refs will get things wrong just as players/managers do during the season the better it is to easy to blame the officials.

Saying that if Krooner was in charge of one of my matches I would have to give him some abuse!! coffee%20(2).gif

Could one of our officials explain why the Farnham defender was not sent off in the penalty incident on Saturday? Was it because the ref thought the keeper would get the ball anyway? Just curious. Must say that we were honoured to be officiated by Mr Singh, who I think is now a Football League ref?

If he had been pulled up for almost pulling the defenders shirt off him he would never have been in that situation to score. Too much pulling and holding at corners / free kicks etc.

And yes I am a Spurs man.

Tenuous I know, but was the player moving towards the goal - or slightly to one side of it ?

There is no reference to the "last man" in the Laws of the Game. The Law that covers this states a player should be red carded if he is guilty of:

denying an obvious goalscoring opportunity to an opponent moving

towards the player’s goal by an offence punishable by a free kick or a

penalty kick

Still, you can argue that a penalty is an even better goalscoring opportunity, which it proved to be
