IS there a chance of a shake up at lammas. and any news on where they will play next season. have seen them 4/5 times this season, seem to play off the cuff, rather than a pattern of play. coffee%20%282%29.gif

Cobham 0-2 Farleigh rovers. After Wednesdays quater final win over molesey confidence at farleigh was high, cobham started the brighter but couldn't breach the farleigh defence, farleigh then started putting the pressure on with Richie White going close from 25 yards.farleigh front man Kieran dias was giving the cobham defence the run a round with his blistering pace causing them alot of problems, farleigh took the lead in the first half with a in swinging free kick from Johnny Gladwin which was nodded in by Richie White. Second half cobham came out the traps early but yet again couldn't breach the farleigh back line,a neat move down the left from rod Davis lead to farleighs second with rod swinging in a inch perfect cross for top goalscorer Paul Spencer to head in from 6 yards.cobham tried to rally late on but to no avail as farleigh held on for a deserved 3 points setting us up nicely for our semi final against bedfont sports on Wednesday!

Fairly accurate account. Just felt that we were physically outplayed by a much larger Farleigh side and our slick passing and movement that had been on show in the midweek at Feltham just never really got going.

Didn't think your front man caused us a lot of problems as you say and certainly never got in behind us to cause real problems, but then neither side really did that throughout the whole 90 IMO.

No complaints about the result as felt you did more overall to deserve the points.

Have to say, that based on the refs showing in this game the FA have decided that football is no longer a contact sport as some of his decisions against both sides were baffling to say the least (the only one he let go was on me for your first goal)!!!

Was good to see Teffs there and apologies to him for not holding the shot in the first half :bounce: I'll do better next time for you mate!!

Thought your right for the infringement for the 1st goal, and agree with the comments on the ref,

Infringement? i'd call it experience, how can i foul someone by not moving and standing my ground? Should i have just moved out of the way and let you catch the ball jurgs!! on the other hand i thought your save in the 1st half was quality.

Yes, that would have been very kind of you !

You're right by saying it was experience though (something we lack a lot of), just felt you actually moved back from the group of players challenging and into my path to stop me coming to get it.....fair play, you tried it and got away with it. Just felt the ref was being very petty with both sides (especially with aerial challenges) yet let that one go.

my point is more re manager. as when i have watched them, nathan has been his normal in your face, but what is not normal is that the players bark back at him. seems as though that style has been out grown.

Its why i left fan i didnt enjoy being berrated an moaned at all the time an reckon like you said players are bored of it i know i got bored an decided to see if grass is greener!! Cant question nathan as a manager has won alot at this level an if you talk to him away from footy hes a nice fella but talk about footy an he turns into someone not so nice when not done how he wants it!!

  • 3 weeks later...

Feltham 1 South Park 2

Poor first half hour or so but after that we settled a bit. Second hald we wanted to play a bit of football but no cutting edge and the two soft goals in the opening twenty minutes cost us, the opener being a quality penalty from Stoney (Molly11). We scored with about five to go and tried to pile forward but wasn't enough.

Our post match talk went on for a while so missed Mr Stone to say hello and I still owe him a beer! Well played lads, all played in very good spirits :applaus:/quote Another missed opportunity, Wattsy?
