dorking 1 wembley 2 dorking 1.0 up half time and cruising then reduced to ten men five minuites into restart, two stupid yellow cards, then gifted and i mean gifted them two goals, winner in 92nd minuite.why do i do this?

THANKS BUCKER.

Here's the Official match report from Press Officer. (Note me, I hasten to add !!)

An hour into this game, any spectator would have quite easily concluded that there was only going to be one winner. Dorking were 1-0 up and cruising and it looked like it was just a matter of time before Dorking would score their second and make sure of a second consecutive home win following on from Tuesday night’s 3-1 win over Epsom & Ewell.

Then disaster struck not just once but three times in the final half an hour of the game, robbing Dorking of a victory that would have lifted Dorking 6 points clear of bottom club Bookham. First midfielder Craig Duffell was booked, warned for a clumsy challenge, then sent off when moments later he committed his third offence in quick succession, Duffell having little to complain about with his red card. Still Dorking looked capable of holding on to their lead against a solid but unadventurous Wembley side who had not really threatened John McBride’s goal since a very early chance which Wembley had caught Dorking cold, the Dorking keeper doing well to block the opportunity. But with 11 minutes to go, McBride, who has had a very good season to date, miskicked his clearance under little pressure, Wembley capatilising by equalising. Then deep in injury time, Wembley who are without an away win this season, could not believe their luck when an underhit header from a Dorking defender under some but not severe pressure from a Wembley striker, fell short of McBride, the Wembley striker gambling on a mistake, his outstretched foot steering the ball past the advancing keeper to steel the points for the North London side.

Apart from the early Wembley attack, the first half appeared to bode very well for a confident Dorking side, Tyrone Oliver bossing the midfield and Billy Ramsey, Jon Louizou and Leroy Hyett buzzing around the Wembley back four with some dangerious moves. It was no surprise when Dorking took the lead, Loiuzou making it 9 goals in only 8 games for Chicks with a fine individual goal, the Dorking striker skipping past several Wembley challenges to slot the ball past the Wembley keeper.

Dorking were commanding the match, Joe Chandler influential, with Oliver mopping up anything in midfield, captain Dan Dunning and Toby Fitzgibbon at centre back dealing with any residual Wembley attacks with relative ease.

But Dorking did not build on their lead for the remainder of the half, nor in a strong opening of the second period when Louizou uncharacteristically passed by the opportunity to double his tally for the day 5 minutes into the second half when one on one with the keeper, the Wembley keeper making an easy save as the Dorking striker failed to connect properly with the ball.

Even so, the Dorking fans were relaxed as there seemed no real way back for the Notth London side, it surely being only a matter of time till Dorking extended their lead. But as always in football, one goal is never enough and with Duffell seeing red on the hour mark, Wembley sensed that they had a chance despite looking second best up to that point.

And so it proved, Wembley equalising on 79 minutes. Manager Peter Buckland replaced the tiring Billy Ramsey with Harry Maneh, but kept a relatively attacking formation, and both Hyett and Louizou had half chances to put Dorking back into the lead.

A point would have been a poor return for Dorking given the opportunity for all three the game had represented, but disaster then struck in the 92nd minute as Dorking suffered a self inflicted defeat at the death of the match. But with games coming thick and fast, Dorking have an immediate opportunity to put the defeat behind them with 3 more home games in a row – at home on Tuesday 8th March to Bookham, home to Raynes Park Vale on Saturday 12 March and at home to Camberley on Tuesday 15 March.

Cove 1 Egham town 4 :bounce:

Egham went behind after dominating the opening exchanges, letting in a header, just as we did midweek at Wembley, from a corner. Bimal Balal scored, after 15 minutes. The new lads in the team, Arafat ("Yasser") Kabuye (ex Ashford Town (Mx.)), Chris Hibbs (ex North Greenford United) and former Godalming Town forward James Hennessey were not really settling in until the second half when we took a firm grip and after John Pomroy scored with a neat, seated toe poke Hennessey scored with two fine shots and a header. Great work all round. Our goals came in the 53rd, 63rd, 65th and 90th minutes. Reuben Simon was the referee and was excellent. And Leeds won 5-2. Good day.

GOOD TO HEAR SOMETHING POSITIVE ABOUT A REFEREE

He is a good Ref used to be a player for Feltham i think. We could do with some more ex players Ref,s as they seem to have a better understanding of how to keep a game flowing and unterstand not all tackles are an instance yellow card lol :futbolbud2:

THIS REFEREES NAME KEEPS ON POPPING UP ON THIS SITE AND EVERY TIME HE HAS HAD GOOD REMARKS ABOUT HIS PERFORMANCE MUST BE ONE OF THE BETTER REFEREES THE CCL HAVE !

Bbm pretty much spot on if im honest you didnt look as good a side as weve played the last two times ! Thought your keeper was suspect for the second again for me your skippers your best player !! Good to see you all stay for a drink after gracious in defeat got respect for that! Also thought officials were very good today which has been mentioned!!i believe there is a stand going in behind the goal the groundwork has already started!! Good luck farnham makes an interesting run in!!

Yeah he is decent and always leads by example. Shame he had to play in 3 different positions yesterday so he never really got settled. I dont think you will ever see us not come into the bar, win, lose or draw. I dont believe no matter how far away you play or on what day or night you cant make time to buy a drink and have a sandwich with the host team. The title run in will go down to the wire between all 4 of us! As JT puts it..... "time to man up" if we want to win anything! Good luck with your ground. Good to see another club trying to improve facilities to be able to go up.

What did you want him to do for you Duncs? Put the kit out? Pick the cones up? Play centre back?

The Ref was ok but only ok he did nothing for us and was intent on being the main attraction,Egham fully deserved the points and looked a very good side well done Steve and good luck for the rest of the season

Bbm will you be allowed promotiom this year obviously if all goes to plan ;) ? Was under the impression it was always because of your changing rooms or clubhouse being to far from pitch? Yeah rate your skipper shame for you yesterday like you said he had to play 3 positions versatile isnt always good!!

Surprisingly enough those two things aren't a problem for us to go up. They may be a problem for us to stay up after next season, i'm not 100% sure to be honest. The two things that needed to be improved for us to go up are more seats added to the stand and hard standing that is under covered for a minimum of 50 people. Credit to our manager, both jobs have already been started in his own time. Now its down to us players to make sure we finish in a promotion place!

Warlingham 2-0 Westfield

We went into this knowing thaty only a win woukld be good enough to keep the top 3 finish dream alive and we started well with several clear cut chances but as so many times this season we failed to convert any of those chances and that seem to spur a very competitve Westfield side on. Westfield to their credit played to their strenghts and found themselves creating their own chances after really offering nothing for the first 20 mins. Then on 25 mins the referee awards a penalty to Westfield for a push in the box! Craig Moore steps up but wars keeper cootes pulls of a fine save to keep scores level. Wars plugged away and on 30 mins went 1-0 up through a Macdiarmid header. Westfield kept going and another fine save from cootes kept wars in front. Half time 1-0 to wars and just about deserved. Second half continued pretty much same as first with both teams battling away but no end product half chances fell to wars but could not be taken and as the game went on Westfield gained confidence and pushed for the equaliser. This left gaps for wars to explote and on 70 mins Jansen puts wars 2-0 up and that was that. The remaining minutes went by without too much fuss. Full time 2-0. 3 points was the aim for us today and thats what we got. In a league where everyone is taken points of each other a winning run is needed and thats what we are aiming for. Another win wednesday night against Frimley is needed to keep our slim hopes alive.

Newby what is the delay in the stand being built for promotion, I was told it would be up by December last year, plus conifers around the ground and a fence separating the main pitch to the back pitches, if the powers that be listened to Nut 250 they would by now have the best ground and pitch in the league!!

Warlingham 2-0 Westfield

Thought we were really unlucky to come out of this game with nothing

Warlingham come out the blocks and battered us first 20 but we missed a sitter from 4 yards with our first attack and then moments later were awarded a penalty. Unfortunately it was well saved and we fluffed the rebound. As is football Warlingham go up the other end and score from a set piece

2nd half started and we had our best spell of the match for 20 minutes where the hosts struggled to get out of their half and we had a few cleared off the line. At this level however if you don’t capitalise when your in control you get punished and again we switched off from a short corner and the game was wrapped up.

Thought Warlingham were strong at the back and in midfield but need some spark and pace up front if they are going to get back in the promotion shakeup which they are more than capable of doing

Ellers I for one know what your going through at staines. Wars groundshared at merstham last season and it all went tits up. Teams come to you now playing at a decent stadium with no atmosphere rather that you 'Home' ground. Im sure that next season you will have adapted to Ashford and that you will be challenging again.

Newby see you on the 5th April. Should be a great game!!

Thought that it was the worst Lammas team I have seen in years yesterday. No creativity up front or in the midfield. Defence still looked ok. Frimley Green did not put up a great performance but just worked harder than Staines. I believe Lammas are in the, nothing to play for, mentality.

I was not there on Saturday, so can't comment on the performance, for some reason or the other we struggled to get a team out this week, injuries suspensions etc, but I was at the game against South Park and we should of got at least a draw, I'm sure we will be up for it against Bedfont Sports on Saturday, well bloody hope we are Lol!!
