Bedfont Sports 3-0 Farnham

As often happens with top of the table clashes, this disappointed as a contest. Taking nothing away from Sports who dominated against a disappointing Farnham side. I can see why Sports are doing so well, tough organised side didn't really let Farnham settle at all and restricted them to just a few half chances. Lead arrived via a corner that was headed in and was doubled before half time with the no.10 shooting from some distance into the bottom right corner. Second half followed a similar pattern really and the third came from a penalty. Nice set up there, odd to hear the game going on next door at the same time! Are there plans to put in a stand to gain promotion?

Yeah really poor performance from us today. Credit to Bedfont For making us play that bad. The won most lose balls and used there wide players well. We had a few chances early on which keeper made good saves from then on some individual errors cost us 3 goals. Good finishes tho.

We wont be dwelling on this and look to put things right starting on Tuesday at home to Cobham.

Feltham 1 South Park 2

Poor first half hour or so but after that we settled a bit. Second hald we wanted to play a bit of football but no cutting edge and the two soft goals in the opening twenty minutes cost us, the opener being a quality penalty from Stoney (Molly11). We scored with about five to go and tried to pile forward but wasn't enough.

Our post match talk went on for a while so missed Mr Stone to say hello and I still owe him a beer! Well played lads, all played in very good spirits :applaus:

Good performance by CWU, especially the lad who played down the right wing. Not many people turned up to watch though

Cove 1 Egham town 4 :bounce:

Egham went behind after dominating the opening exchanges, letting in a header, just as we did midweek at Wembley, from a corner. Bimal Balal scored, after 15 minutes. The new lads in the team, Arafat ("Yasser") Kabuye (ex Ashford Town (Mx.)), Chris Hibbs (ex North Greenford United) and former Godalming Town forward James Hennessey were not really settling in until the second half when we took a firm grip and after John Pomroy scored with a neat, seated toe poke Hennessey scored with two fine shots and a header. Great work all round. Our goals came in the 53rd, 63rd, 65th and 90th minutes. Reuben Simon was the referee and was excellent. And Leeds won 5-2. Good day.

Nice evenly matched game today, linesmen competent, Players good and it was entertaining.

I do however have a question or two for the forum members who are referees etc.

1. If a player receives a number of head injuries during a game, does this not indicate that the opposition are using arms repeatedly, Would you look out for such incidents after say the 4th such incident?

2. If a player is down clutching his head and players (both sides) are shouting at you that there is a head injury and to stop play and you turn and see the player down holding his head do you have a duty to stop immediately?

These are serious questions, not a case of sour grapes or anything like. I am just really interested in something I witnessed.

Banstead 3 Ash Utd 0

well the poor showing continues......... started ok then after 30minutes lost our centre back through an injury & then it seemed to go pear shaped. Goalless at haltime, but 2nd half banstead put us under pressure scored & never looked back & we never looked like getting back into it. So all credit must go Banstead

Well we've got to up up our game alot or we will be in a dog fight at the foot of the table + doesnt get any harder than on Tuesday when we entertain Chertsey

Hartley Wintney 1 v 2 Eversley

Typical local derby with lots of blood and guts. A game won really with the sucker punch with Hartley enjoying much posession but no end product and Eversley much more dangerous on the counter. Matt Stamp claimed his 24 goal of the season and opened the scoring on 20 minutes - Scully's 30 yard diagonal pass was a race which Stamp won against the HW full back to volley home after 20 minutes. Hartley piled on the pressure but a succession of free kicks / corners failed to trouble the visitors and then the moment that changed the game..... a long Lee Hurrell clearance was one by Sked up front for Eversley, who spun and won the aerial ball against the Hartley keeper.... with the ball then bouncing inside the 6 yard box, Sked then beat the covering defender to score one of the most obscure individual goals you will ever see! Again Hartley responded but without a noteworthy chance half time came at 0-2 with the experience of Savage belying his years in midfield to organise the Boars.

The noise in the home dessing room could be heard in the far stand as the home side management tried to galvanise their players! Hartley responded and came out playing some of the best football of the game and with the strength of Martin Wiliams paying off as he fought off two challenges to round the Evesley keeper and score from what seeemed an impossible angle. 30 minutes to play and Hartley in the ascendency then a needless elbow from Hartley's Kieron Thorne on Eversley`s Les Goettermann saw the home side reduced to 10 men, and one great save from Hurrell aside (on his 1st team debut relacing the injured Asen Ogov) , Eversley saw it through. Sam Scully just failed to make the scoreline a little more flattering with 5 to go as he just failed to latch on to Ben Jones cross from 5 yards out.

In conclusion an even game with more resolute defending and a little more composure and quality in the last third from Eversley who, despite missing several key players, played with a little more composure and desire to grab the three points. To be fair having seen Hartley against South Park a few games a go it too seemed like they had at least a couple out. Thats 6 points against Farleigh and HW in the last two games, looking forward to Warlingham next week who i`m sure will be the toughest of the three!!

Much improved Feltham side, did think it was strange how none of your side were in the bar that explains why. Good Luck for the rest of the season on and off the pitch mate.

Cobham 0-2 Farleigh rovers. After Wednesdays quater final win over molesey confidence at farleigh was high, cobham started the brighter but couldn't breach the farleigh defence, farleigh then started putting the pressure on with Richie White going close from 25 yards.farleigh front man Kieran dias was giving the cobham defence the run a round with his blistering pace causing them alot of problems, farleigh took the lead in the first half with a in swinging free kick from Johnny Gladwin which was nodded in by Richie White. Second half cobham came out the traps early but yet again couldn't breach the farleigh back line,a neat move down the left from rod Davis lead to farleighs second with rod swinging in a inch perfect cross for top goalscorer Paul Spencer to head in from 6 yards.cobham tried to rally late on but to no avail as farleigh held on for a deserved 3 points setting us up nicely for our semi final against bedfont sports on Wednesday!
