Reserves Last Night

Watched the Canvey v Billericay Reserve match last night, just a quick message to say what an enjoyable game it was. Quite an open game with plenty of chances at either end, with Ellis hitting the post twice before we scored our equaliser. They hit the post as well, and the lad in goal for us, Connor Spencer, pulled off about three or four very good saves. All in all a decent match, although I may have enjoyed it more than most being tucked up in the warm press box working on Saturday's programme!

Despite absolutely freezing my [****!!****] off, I thought it was a lively game with both teams having chances to nick a winner.

 

Ellis was very unlucky not to get himself on the scoresheet, although the lad that did get our goal looked pretty decent on the wing. Also a quick mention goes to our centre-half pairing of Alaile and Matthews, who played a very mature game considering their ages.
