Barking's busiest ever month April 1927 - 14 games

In April 1927 we played 14 games of which we won 7 ,drew 3 and lost 4. They included the finals of the F A Amateur Cup and Essex Senior Cup. We scored 51 goals against 29 and included victories by 11-2,10-0 and 7-0. The games were-

We went on to play 4 games in 5 days in May,winning 3 and losing 1,and after a week’s rest (apart from their jobs of course) we won the London Senior Cup ,as follows-

I vaguely remember that season. It was a bit wet that season & It was my last season playing. Think Canvey Island lost to Southend in the FA Cup & finished runners-up Gravesend & Notthfleet in the Ryman Prem, although it could have been Dagenham & Redbridge.

and won the FA Trophy against Forest Green at Villa Park.

Wasn't that 2002 ? & we went back in 2003 & lost to Hednesford ? Could be wrong though.

 

won it in 2001 lost in final 2004,cant believe that Wardy is still playing,they were the days of stimson and tilson in same team.Kingy made a mistake increasing admission from £7 to £9 at start of 01-02 season,crowds started to drop thereafter but he put the club on the map like Karl did with Hornchurch and Ants now doing with Concord.
