To anybody who knows the story of My Fair Lady..this will make sense,to those who dont..go and see the film or read the play !!!

 

Like Henry Higgins trying to teach Eliza Dolittle

to speak properly there seems to be a similar story with Hornchurch and George Borg !!

 

The pupil (the team) look like they are never going to follow the training of the teacher (George) and then,suddenly,it clicks in !!

 

Last night was the most cohesive performance of the season.We can now see,what George Borg had obviously seen some time ago,what a superb defender Adedji,its now clear why Kerrigan was signed (despite the fact we have 2 other good left backs)why Vinnie John,who led the line brilliantly and will no doubt get the goals he deserves soon,remains first choice in attack etc etc.

 

Still one or two questions...Douglas will no doubt be a good signing for the future but its hard to comprehend why he is keeping Andrew Martin out,Jude Sterlings signing must surely be made permanent..he is class.

 

Good to see Scott Gooding give his best performance of the seasons...Saturday seems to have shaken the temporary lethargy from him !!

 

A really good display...well done,take a house point.

 

and finally...when a team is drawn in the cup against another team from the same league it is best not to assume anything !! Its a tricky draw...ask Kettering !
