NICEGUY

The rumours are-

1. It was Chelsea v Man Utd on the TV so the board knew they would get no attendance, no money, no game

2. We did have light drizzle for an hour on Monday

3. Building work on the 3000 seater stadium has begun and the pitch was unavailable due to supporters buying their debenture seats

4. The moon and stars didn't align

All just rumours I have heard, personally I just feel sorry for the players and manager

MVSCR 2-1 Camberley

Have to admit, before the game, given Camberley had beaten us 3-0 earlier in the season, and hit 7 on Saturday, I wasn't at all confident (despite the MVSCR win prediction), but we played very well, and exceeded expectations.

Decent first half, both sides hitting the woodwork - us in the 1st minute, when we probably should have scored with a close range header and Camberley midway through the half.

Although there was some decent football played in the half, there was nothing else to trouble either keeper, and half time was scoreless.

We got off to the perfect start in the second half, when Liam Holden fired home from 20 yards (with what looked more like a toe punt than a clean hit - to be honest not quite sure what he did with it), and had our best spell of the game, dominating the next 20 minutes. Holden went close with a volley that bought an excellent save from the Camberley keeper, before we made it 2-0 on 65 mins, when a free kick was headed home at the back post by Daryl Cooper-Smith.

Camberley threw people forward, but our defence held firm, and made some decent blocks, whilst our keeper dealt comfortably with things thrown into the area.

Matt Griffiths pulled one back for Camberley in the last five minutes, but we held on to secure a semi final place.

Bedfont sports 3- 0 farnboro north end

Scrappy game in windy weather sports took the lead when azagba scored from a cross looked like wind sorta blew it in we doubled our lead when a long punt upfield was missed by defenders an azagba scored toe poking past the on rushing keeper! Both teams tried to play but the wind an freezing conditions spoilt that !! 2nd half sports took control with tunnel holding ball up very well but in all honesty we looked like we hadnt played for a coupla weeks since our mauling at wp

Azagba then completed his hatrick when a crossfield pass found him to drive into the box an stick the ball in far corner! Referee was very good name escapes me but jesus he ran more than any player on the pitch used common sense wen jus a word was sufficient tho did send off one of there players near end for dissent but in all thought one of the best weve had!!

ft farnham 0 sandhurst 1

90th min winner

It was difficult to try and play football on a sticky pitch and the team against the wind was the better side, Sandhurst in the first and Farnham in the second.

Farnham had the first chance to open the scoring following the Sandhurst defence standing a watching but this caught the attacker by suprise and there was not enough power in the shot and enough time for our goalie to recover.

We then hit the post but there were very few occasions when either goalkeeper had to work.

Farnham were the better side in the second half and forced a good save from our goalie. They also had two strong penalty appeals turned down when on another day at least one of them may have been given.

With everyone expecting extra time, out sub midfielder picked the ball up from about 25 yards and sent a shot towards goal which dropped over the keepers head and in. There was not much pace on the ball and we would have been dissapointed conceeding a goal like that.

The referee was not too bad, let a lot go but perhaps got a few divisions wrong, but he maintained his control regardless and talked too when another may caution.

Worst decision of the night was the assistant referee flagging for offside from a throw-in!!!

Look forward to another semi-final now.

Yeah GF, 4-0 down when got called off last time at about 56 minutes. We played really well, even with a couple of key players missing.

Ash just didnt seem to be interested.

Totally agree with you, Frimley played well & we were very poor. had several players missing but that no excuse for the way we played. Good luck to Frimley at Camberley in the next round

agree from what watching the game that sandhurst were the better team in the 1st half and the left winger was causing a few problems with his pace and delivery. but farnham came out stronger and thought were better team in the 2nd half.

though the referee looked out of his depth as the pace of the game meant he could not keep up. he gave random decisions and feel farnham should have had a pen at the end.

was that sandhurst 1st x11 as i thought they would have been a bit stronger (may have had an off night).

but good luck to them in the next round
