Saturday's match

Recommended Posts

I think it might be a good idea to be pro-active to try to make sure Saturday's game goes ahead.

Going by the weather forecast we are in for some dry weather between now and Saturday but I think we need to make sure as much as possible that the game goes ahead.

Does anyone know the current state of the pitch?

Will anyone be visiting the ground ( Beaconsfield groundsmen included) between now and Friday to ascertain what work, if any, might be required to the pitch.

If it meant getting the game on I would be willing to join a work party to help out.

if it was judged early on that the pitch (weather permitting) with work could be made correct im sure plenty would help if asked for

hard to tell without having seen the pitch if that would be at all an option

Would be good to have an update about the prospects as I've got a 90 mile trip to get there, and Sheffield Rebel might come down too

Brummie, would be very surprised if it was off tomorrow. Been dry for the last few days and was clear blue skies in Slough all day today. Whilst it is below freezing overnight, there are good temperatures from sunrise tomorrow and no rain forecast.

the work required on the pitch you wouldn't be able to get done in a month let alone a few hours.
