End of season walk

Its that time of year again.

On 25th April, tradition says we have to walk to the game. All the way to..... Beaconsfield.

I have plotted a route, staying off the main road, as having done that before, it was a bit scary.

It is 7 miles from Wexham Park to Holloway Park going through Stoke Poges, Hedgerely and ending up at the services opposite the ground.

Given the distance it would be great to have a huge number of walkers. The cyclists are going to get their bikes out for one last trip too.

Whatever money raised will be split between the Club and whatever charity we choose for this year, so the more people take part, the more money we will raise.

Sponsorship forms will be available and more details will follow as to start times etc.

Please let me know via this thread or at games if you are going to walk.

The more the merrier!

Seeing as Ian and co are cycling, anyone up for running it with me for the 7 miles? So then we have walking cycling and runners which will make this years a bit more fun considering it's a short one?

All we need is for this wet weather to continue and we can turn it into a simultaneous triathlon and have some people swiimming it!!! I think Chris's idea is great. Having a lots of people running, walking or cycling will make a great news story.

I would be up for running it. 7 miles usually takes me about 70mins. The only issue could be the smell of sweaty runners!

I have recently run the roads from SYCOB down to Burnham and on to Farnham Royal, they are not great as they are quite narrow in places but it is ok, definately better than going along the A335!

I think the 3 different ways of doing it is a great idea!
