Excellent video TRS, in what was a good game with RPV playing quite well but Camberley were in great form after some recent relatively poor displays. Mr Camberley quite right Manors but not Mrs.

yer our game with Hanworth was abadoned after 30 something minutes, should we ever have started?dunno,we were 1 0 down but by far the better side there goal was a penalty following a rash challenge by our number 11,at least the ref gave the game every chance of being played but in the end he decided it was to dangerous to continue

I spoke to a referee yesterday morning who said it was the last day for refs to get their marks in to be considered for promotion, wonder if that was a contributing factor for this game being started?

I'm sure Kroons can confirm if this is not the case...

I think the later in the season the more pressure is brought to play games on pitches you possibly wouldnt play in in November. If yesterday was the day the ref did his 10th marking match then maybe it was a consideration.

You are right YHW without the young keeper who made half a dozen superb saves it could have been double figures, none of the goals could be put down to him even though he let in 7, not sure of the lads name but certainly one to look out for, anyone from RPV got any info.

TC the blue shorts ? Chairmans choice.

Paul Brady, good keeper, very good attitude etc. Has been at the club for a couple of years now.

Camberley 7-0 RPV.

Excellent game at Krooner Park, considering the conditions. A downpour just before KO ensured the going was very sticky. Cambo used the slope to their advantage in the first half with attack after attack. The RPV keeper made several good saves but Cambo went into the break 2-0 to the good. Goal of the day for me came in the second half was started and finished by Matt Griffiths. Picked up the ball in midfield pinged it out the wing, he then played a one two with the no9 producing a neat finish from just outside the box. Great football. RPV had their moments too and Foster had one or two saves to make. The Cambo no11 finished the day with a hat trick.

Was surprised to find Ash v Dorking had gone ahead as I assumed it would be off. Unfortunately no clues given, so Camberley got my £6 instead!

Have to say TRS the game never really was in doubt, pitch looked great but like Camberley the rain just before ko ruined what was a good surface, but we still played some excellent football, raced into a 3goal lead & not for the Dorking keeper it could easily have been 7or 8 but half time. Dorking scored goals either side of the halftime break but brad smith completed his hattrick before Dorking pulled a goal back 10 minutes to go & in the end Ash were glad to hear the final whistle. Dorking to their credit never gave in but in reality should never have had the chance if one our forwards had finished & two the Dorking wasn't as good as he was,s till its 3points& thats all that counts

however i did forget to mention the quote i heard when going to pay the officials, a dorking player saying his team played well & were unlucky & not for the sh*t pitch they would have won....still cant believe he said that

Ended up at Chertsey too and agree Banstead were poor. Chertsey played the conditions better and were comfortable winners. Chertsey impressed me Saturday previous times I have seen them that game would have been a struggle in those conditions. Saturday they were well organised and stuck to what I guess was their game plan. Credit where it is due as I have criticised Chertsey before when I felt it was right in their management and coaching decisions. Saturday was the first time I felt they were a well managed side. For me that is ominous for others in the run in. As always at Chertsey talk turns to money and interesting views on Camberley and Badshot Lea that tend to agree with JJs views that both have increased their budgets this year above Chertseys in an attempt to win league.

An excellent win for Camberley though Saturday and hopefully now we have 4 teams in the chase which should prove exciting.

Aupostie I hope you just laughed at the Dorking player, I guess he must only play the away games!!!

Hello.

First time poster so will understand if my points are taken with a pinch of salt.

I have watched the forum closely in the past months and was wondering where people like JJ and SurreyFinest get their information from?

Both constantly moan and berate both Badshot Lea and Camberley Town about bigger budgets and players only going there for money. Both clubs have apparently increased their budgets this season which no one can be really sure of unless they play for the clubs involved which I understand JJ and Surreyfinest do not.

Is this not all heresay? How do you know?

Do Badshot Lea have a big budget? I was informed recently it couldn't be further from the truth, this by an official at the club who is extremely high up in their committee. Didn't PB (who I understand is held in high esteem on this forum) state previously, that Camberley reduced the budget and that was why he left as the ambition did not match his? Just an observation but all some people ever talk about is money,money,money.....Maybe it's time people actually thought some of these players are actually playing for the Clubs and the Management and not for the money. Haven't both these teams exchanged a lot of personnel over the past year? Players do bow to peer pressure and alot follow their mates to new clubs.

Just a thought and different perspective to what has already been said.

Anyway, lets look forward to a good tense finish to the season where 4-5 clubs could still be involved in the title race.

Have been all season TC

Trying to be Athletico Madrid?

When we played at Camberley two Egham fans who are both supporters of Rangers said it looked like Rangers away kit (Camberley) v their home kit (Egham). Both kits looked rubbish, and could have improved just by borrowing each others shorts.
