Councillor Simon Moores and democracy

Having re read Councillor Moores blog I have come to the following conclusion.

 

1. His articles come across as very bias, personal and rude.

2. If you wished to post a comment or reply to him, it will only be published if HE agrees to it.

3. If you do have an item posted Councillor Moore will reply back and on many occasions with

"Please don't waste my time or my goodwill!!"

basically he has tired of the conversation because the person DOES NOT AGREE with him, a situation he accusses Margate supporters of doing.

 

 

And before you try and turn this as a threat by a football fan all I am suggesting to you and any local councillor of any party is, Councillor Moores, just remember that you were elected by and should be the representative of the local electorate and NOT by some God given right to be in a position of power.

At each election you are up for reselection BY the electorate based on how well you perform and your value for money and DO NOT EVER think that every Conservative Party member in this area supports and will vote for you just because you are standing under the party banner.

You must remember cllr Moore was a blairite during the early labour days so he knows all about politacal double dealings.

Let him continue to be bombarded.Let him continue to popular (for the time being) & let him continue to use his blog to talk about council matters openly. Matters that should be kept behind council's closed doors

By continuing to allow discussions on his blog & on a subject that he should be discussing in private as the councillor directly involved he is surely scoring an own goal. But then he might say & in his own words this is "democracy" & yes it is but he is directly in control of things as I see it & for him to openly discuss these matters is wrong on this occasion surely..

I'm sure the council won't be too happy with him discussing these matters openly. I'd be amazed if he hasn't been pulled up on this already.

The publicty he is getting on the whole as I see it isn't good publicty & this will all be taken note of by the electorate at the forthcoming elections.

I believe this is working against him at present & the popluarity he seeks on this to get be re-elected will see him scoring that own goal.

Only an about turn & an admittance,on that which he has got wrong, will save him i.m.o. But heh! we wont see that happen will we ? Not with this man. Carry on councillor, carry on shooting yourself in the foot.

Just looked on the blog again and strangely the above posting by Cllr Moore has been deleted completely.

 

Is it possible that he has realised that his condesending manner is unbecoming of a person holding a responsible public position or maybe he twigged it may very well cost him votes and cut off a major source of income

I Cannot believe any of our elected officials are in their positions for any other reason than THE PUBLIC GOOD. They are not not interested in any way in SELF GRATIFORCATION. Every hour is given freely without any consideration to SELF INTEREST.

Bring on the Paid Mayor, who is is elected to the office, paid a proper wage as a sole job. Can be sacked at the next election if not doing his work for the public good and, is non political.
