Bateman's view of SYCOB's pitch

We've got to bear in mind that a significant reason for the delay was the major downturn in the property market, this whole proposal is working with a property developer who wants to build 81 residential units. Now they have resolved to proceed we will hopefully start to see progress in the outlining planning agreements etc. The delays are frustrating but at least we have a sensible proposal on the table unlike some we've heard. We now need to make sure we back it all the way.

The fact that we are reliant on ground share for probably two more seasons as a minimum also means we shouldn't be too critical of our potential hosts whoever they may be they all have an asset we have managed to lose three of - a ground!

I'd confidentially say they will be.

That means in the local area (off the top of my head) Burnham FC, The Windsor Boys' School, Herschel Grammer School, Egham Sports Centre (6 pitches), Cox Green and of course Powerleague (8 pitches) would all have artificial pitches in one form or another.
