Dewani.....guilty or innocent

Recommended Posts

I could be wrong, but this smacks of some sort of 'Honour Killing', which may well mean that his family could be implicated as well.

Big J R - That's a bit far fetched isn't it

I can't see the logic in that claim really. Unsurprisingly.

Loosely -You mean you can't see the logic in the claim of an 'honour killing', it's ridiculous isn't it

Yes, that is what I meant. Women who WON't marry their father's choice, those who have relationships with unsuitable people are the ones who usually are murdered in so called 'Honour Killings" so I'm left wondering why a woman who married an arranged husband would be murdered because she 'Dishonoured' her family.

It seems just a little ludicrous but then I'm not ex-plod.

OK  -  Lets assume his family discovers AFTER the arranged marriage that his wife wasn't quite as pure and chaste as they originally were led to believe.

They went straight on honeymoon right after the wedding and then she was killed. If they'd found out she'd been 'un-chaste' why the wedding? Also, with an honour killing they do the job themselves, not ask some infidel to do it.

Let's assume they do ask an infidel to do the deed why is the murderer claiming Dewani put him up to it? Anyway, sounds implausible.

So if found guilty, I imagine he's looking at between an 18 and 25 year sentence.

We seem to be plumbing whole new depths to your ignorance lately don't we Rhodesly but I suppose it's no surprise that you sympathise with the perpetrator rather than the victim and their family.

Anyway, sticking to the facts rather than your bizarre fantasy world the trial starts in just over 3 weeks. I have no doubts that the evidence will speak for itself and Dewani will start his punishment.

Loosely - I’m not sympathising or siding with anyone but the case has similarities with Amanda Knox doesn’t it whereby, the killer of Anni Dewani is already behind bars.

Rhodesly - the paymaster isn't yet behind bars and yes, it has similarities with the Knox case in that both Dewani and 'Manda have twisted every which way possible, lied through their teeth and tried desperately to garner public sympathy with crocodile tears.
