Clearly we are 'something to do with the old Enfield FC' - our club was formed by fans of it. Probably 95% of our support have their personal football history dating back to EFC. What we don't claim is the history of it though, we've had a good time making our own thank you very much. It is factually incorrect for new clubs to claim the history of defunct ones, you'd do well to remember that.

 

As for last night, very well done. But I couldn't get excited about any 'rivalry'. You are a new club having an excellent season, enjoy it.

 

Feel free to join us at the Barnsley celebration - all fans of the former club are welcome. We promise we won't stand in the corner shunning you. Or would that ruin you 'cliquey' charade? Ah well...

Shame about the Burnham Ramblers result. Stansted still undefeated and looking very strong. Last time I looked they were 1 point behind with 3 games in hand. Looking like another season stuck in the ESL?

4 First Teamers ,( Jones , Siva , Stevenson and Blackburne ) the rest were reserve team players, who made a good impression and anyone who watched and knows anything about football will have seen the far better team lost , sometimes that happens in Football( we had an important league match the evening before , but were happy to play the next evening to get in Steve's words "the bloody match out of the way".)

I think the fact that we played the game with the majority of our youth/reserve side (who i might add played very well) and the attendance shows that it was not a big game for us and judging by the team you put out and your chairmans reaction at full time suggests it was a cup final for 1893.

 

To put it another way i am more dissapointed about not being able to play Hanwoth Villa than losing to you

Well dont life just suck eh mate , Just seen our website and it clearly STATES and I quote Both teams played reserves , but all the same it counts as a first team match .so stop trying to sweep it under the rug by making excuses about reserves
