Detective Work Part 10

Recommended Posts

I don't really and I don't care (no one does) but I bet the man himself was sweating for a minute when he read this! Philip Hart is an ego maniac moron who has no friends or family. He is lonely. I studied psychology at UKC when i got made redundant from my job with Ford back in the 80's. He has all the attributes of someone who just wants to be loved.

Excellent game on Canvey Island last night and no seens of violence as predicted by Eric. I wasn't impressed with some of the language from the Canvey fans but the girls are used to it as their mum (my first wife) was a drinker with surpressed anger issues.

Back to the football and it was a tight affair in the first half but opened up in the second. It seemed to be heading for a draw when the Concord substitute collected a bouncing ball over the top and slotted beneath the Canvey Island GK, who had performed wonders with a point blank save just moments earlier.

It was amazing what you see and hear at a game like last night. I was, as promised, sitting in the stand with my 2 girls. No sign of Philip Hart or anyone else so keen to meet me. I did see one familiar face but he walked straight past.

Who wants to know what I heard?

Gentlemen, thanks for playing along.

Here we go.

To make this information as reliable as possible I have sought out a couple of informants and they concurred.

Firstly, crowd trouble seemed to erupt after the Concord goal. There were 'unmarked' members of the FA heirachy in the crowd in anticpiation of the suspected violence. By having a presence at the game the FA felt they would be able to make a more accurate judgement rather then simply react to reports that would no doubt follow. Eric has a source at the FA and Concord could be hit with playing a future home game behind closed doors as well as a hefty fine.

Secondly, there was an official looking chap present wearing a Brighton and Hove Albion coat. I outright asked him who he was there to see and the name he gave was Gary Ogilvie from Concord Rangers.

Thirdly, and this is a bit out there I have to say, I heard Canvey FC fans stating how envious they were of Concord Rangers and the progress they have made. They were suggesting the Concord Chairman will make an offer to buy the club for £3m in the summer and appoint one of his current Concord managers as manager at Canvey with John Batch 'moving upstairs'. This would be the biggest monopoly Canvey Island has seen post Jeff King.

I am Mark Hoffman, and the truth is out there.

On the crowd trouble front the FA rep was actually well impressed how our beloved "Ginge" managed to dodge every punch thrown at him by the Canvey bench !

With regards Mr Ogilvie i wouldnt be surprised !

On the Canvey Concord takeover knowing the Chairman of Concord quite well and how he likes to use his and the clubs money wisely

i think Canvey paying Concord would be more apt to show them the way .;)

I agree with point 3. It seems the "sleeping giant" from down the road could learn a thing or two. I hope you don't mind me saying, but there was a hint of David vs Goliath pre match but perhaps it is more like Vitali vs Wladimir following the result. Barring a few fumbled crosses I do not remember the Concord goalkeeper having much to so.
