Good result and an enjoayble game, even though the numpty in the middle was the worst seen for a couple of weeks...

The Town Crier gave Ashley Jones MOTM last week and on a straw poll from a limited selection of supporters, Flanners got the vote (we like to share the award)...but Ashley again played well to keep us in the game.

I think we have a nice balance to the squad now, some are relishing the current conditions, but come the good weather, we have a lot of talent just waiting to be unleashed.

Another win, can't complain. Thought all played well and agree with ONTHESIDELINE, MOTM Ashley. Thought the ref s had been inproving of late but this one was awful, books Flanners for an obstruction which a similar incident to Greg which he ignored. Then ignored the two footed challenge later on. Lets hope we have better refs for the rest of the season.

Really enjoying this run we're on & well done to the players & management for making it happen. It's true that we've rode our luck a few times and Ashley fully deserves the credit he's getting. But we've gotten into the winning habit and that's great.

 

Looking forward to Carshaltons visit on Saturday. It's doom & gloom on their Forum as they're having a lousy run at the moment. Lets hope we can capitalise on it.

The run continues and i guess that puts Craig back in the frame for manager of month award ! I have said this before but you really have to applaud the turnaround from the 7 game spin of not winning . Never any panic from the management and that to me shows the quality of experience. We will lose at some point and we may lose 2 on the spin etc , but to see us in that 4th position is such a lovely sight . Lets hope we can continue the run . Craig, his management team and the players deserve the praise they are getting . Confidence must be sky high in the camp , and i suspect the players are in the mould now of "when's the next game gaffer"

 

But as Craig mentioned in the paper , there is a dreaded word "complacency" I am sure the players will be reminded of that !

I was reminded by my wife, who has a stunning memory for past seasons that when we got promoted from the 2nd to the 1st, we went on an unbeaten run from February to the end of the season to clintch promotion...I believe it was a 15 game run without defeat....now not wishing to draw any comparisons....

 

...dare we start to dream. We may drop points but so will teams around us.

 

Whatever happens, lets enjoy it.

Sure sign things are going well, we aren't all squabbling on here! Brightside bloke and Gazza are running through the meadow holding hands and I have come home from the football and actually spoke to the missus pleasantly! Amazing what an impact football has on us all, its great when its going great but S**t when its going s**t!
