Final scores I'm aware of:-

Bookham 2 Hanworth Villa 5.

Egham Town 1 Guildford City 2

Frimley Green 0 Warlingham 4 (Warlingham player sent off in the 46th minute at 1-0)

Molesey 2 Ash United 1 (Surrey Senior Cup)

I enjoyed that. (Anyone watching will know what I mean. If anyone was watching).

full time

sandhurst 1 cove 2

cove deserved 2 goal lead althoug huge suspicions of offside for the first. Sandhurst had goal ruled out for offside just after Coves opener.

Sandhurst had more ball second half, but with little end product. Pulled a goal back with 10 to go and then Cove had player needlessly sent off for kicking the ball away for second yellow.

Cove withstood the pressure to hold on for the win.

Handbags after the final whistle.

Decided on Frimley Green.

Warlingham started the brightest wihout creating anything worthwhile. Frimley Green came back into it and started to put the Wars under pressure and for 3 great saves form the Wars keeper would have taken a deserved lead. As is the way last minute of the 1st half Warlingham snatch the lead. 1st minute of the 2nd half saw a straight red for a Warlingham player and we all thought game on. Not to be 2 goals in the next 5 muinutes killed the game and a 4th towards the end sealed an impressive victory. Frimley lacked ideas at 11 v 10.

As for Tucks watch. Quiet for the first 25 and then started to get alittle animated. Got very hot after the send off but the 2 goals calmed him down. Still popped up every now and then with a word or 2 but to be fair the near side assistant had him in his pocket. Good to catch up with afterwards though and also good to see Brunty back after a lengthy lay off.

Also good to catch up with Mr Fingers and to see Surrey Legend back involoved.

Decent evening.

With Camberley without a game I went to watch the Sandhurst v Cove match. Terence Collina's summing up of the game was spot on although I thought the Cove player who got sent off for a second yellow was a little lucky not to have gone for telling the ref to "F#*k off" well after the decision was given against him. Cove led 2-0 but Sandhurst hit back near the end and pulled a goal back and went close to an equaliser in the final few minutes but overall Cove were worth their win.

There was a case of handbags at the end of the game which featured almost all 21 players left on the park (I think half of them were trying to work out who to separate) but my attentions were turned to a man who is quite well known in local football circles round our way and a man I have known for years, Sandhurst Town's Life President, Jock McKinnon who had slipped on the concrete path and cracked his head open five minutes before the end of the game. His head hit the path very hard and an ambulance was called for immediately as it looked serious but he was still being cared for on the spot where he fell half an hour later. If it was not for the quick actions of the Sandhurst officials and physio it could have been more serious had he blacked out whilst concussed. After 40 minutes he was helped into the clubhouse very groggy, concussed, sporting a nasty looking scar above his eye and there was still no sign of an paramedic or an ambulance.

Its the fourth time I have been to a game in the last 18 months where an ambulance has been required for one reason or another and not once has one turned up within 40 minutes (2 head injuries involving concussion, a broken leg and a suspected broken leg). Being the son of a former ambulanceman, I am aware of what a good job the underfunded emergency services do but these response times are getting ridiculous especially considering two of the incidents were within five minutes of the nearest ambulance station and hospital

Hopefully Jock is alright and has suffered nothing worse than a scar, a black eye and a headache and I hope he has a quick recovery

Yes the Cove player was lucky not to be sent off for his out burst. It would be interesting to hear what the assessors comments were for that incident.

Jock appeared ok, when the paramedic turned up he was helped into the clubhouse but was he was clearly shaken. The bleeding had stopped but he was taken to Frimley Park to have the wound stitched up.

He had three stitches and went home last night feeling ok but had one hell of a headache.

give my regards to Jock please TC,have to agree with yourself and Andy on the match report good local derby played in a very good spirit by 2 teams who obviously didn't want to lose, young Bimal up front for us scored 2 very good goals(he is only 18 )and you can see why a local Conference side are very keen to sign him,Sandhurst have lost a lot of players but are still a very good side we ourselves have an injury list and players suspended as long as your arm but the lads that have come in for the last 2 games have done themselves proud so well done to them, just like to add that none of these lads are being payed a penny and yet they are playing their socks off.

Agree with Duncs, I enjoyed the game, silly we only finished with 10 men, sometimes players need to think when they have already been yellow carded but that's life. I did go over after the game to see the guy (Jock) who was on the ground but did offer my services to your lovely physio, but she had everything under control.

Egham lose 2-1 at home to Guilford not a bad game with no bookings for both sides :yay: :yay: :yay: :yay:

Gutted after last nights result. Thought we did enough to deserve a draw.

For me the difference between the two side was Gibbs and Greaves.

Both scored and showed why they should be playing at a higher level.

Very dissapointed with their winning goal.

Considering recent games i thought the game was played in a good spirit

and the referee was very good. (cant believe i said that after a defeat)

Need to get that winning habit back and quick.

Roll on Saturday.

(there were 2 booked. Tom Bentley and the Guilford number 2. A record for both sides this year)

Not strictly true that... we received no cautions against Mole Valley earlier this year! Appreciate the sentiment though, it was a decent game played in a good spirit. Of course we're happy with the win but it was pretty even - both sides missed a few good chances.
